Because since they are mirrored, they belong to people like yourself. Such information isn't useful for anyone, and it'd look pretty bad having users of a community trying to hunt people down. Let's not give off that appearance.

Thanks for the warning, it actually explains why I was getting randomly logged out.

Also, I am now aware that the virtual keyboard has a purpose.

One question though: will we always get an email alerting us of this thing? I've messed up several times with my own password, and when I check my email there is no alert.

As far as I can tell, you only get one when it's from a different IP than your current one.

Be aware, using a vitrual keyboard is NOT foolproof. A virtual keyboard still works in the same way as a normal keyboard; what keys you press can still be tracked.

That's relevant to those who are infected with software, not to this forum specifically. What happens here is that you are randomly logged out, and the keystrokes on this site are logged.

Since I noticed this a couple weeks ago when I was randomly logged out, I simply typed the password in a different place and pasted my password into the forums. I then changed my password and ran a pre-boot scan. A couple days later, I stopped being logged out randomly.

Users may combine an on-screen keyboard with typing it into a different place than the forums if they are certain they are not infected.
