This is a thread where i would like to put random tips and tricks for pvp that ive learned over the (not even one) years
Feel free to post your own, i will probably add it to this post

1. Liquid Shadow, Mitosis, Acceleration, and Butterfly Effect can all be used to lobotomize creatures.
2. Quint removes freeze/congeal.
3. Immolating or creating a delayed phoenix removes the delay.
4. If your opponent is using a fractal deck, quint all his/her creatures so they cant fractal.

Just remember, while mitosis can lobotomize creatures, it also lets the person create many more of the same creature if you don't kill it, which will let them use that skill multiple times a turn later.  Unless its a buffed-up otyugh, mutant, or something like that, mitosis is probably not a good idea for lobotomizing something.

Sometimes waiting to play creatures you can play will give you more time before the opponent decides to use quanta on CC instead of on getting his/her own creatures.  This is situational, though, and may take a while to learn when to summon and when not to summon.

Sometimes holding back cards can be a valuable asset.

Using them as a surprise tactic later can help turn the tide in your favour, as your opponent may be unprepared for them.

Sacrificing certain cards can be crucial to your winning. Elements isn't unlike Chess where similar strategies can prove effective. Letting your opponent destroy a less valuable creature or permanent could mean them using their only current card able to do that for the moment and letting you bring out a card that will tip the odds in your favor.

ALWAYS keep an eye out on the amount of quanta the opponent has.It helps you have some idea about what is he going to do.

Use Protect Artifact wisely. Although you may have initially had it to protect your shield/weapon if you are against a quanta denial opponent whose main source of quanta denial is earthquake, protecting your pillars is very important. Same goes for any situation. Try to give your cards in your deck multipurpose ahead of time. Think of the pros and cons each card you bring with you have. Bringing a card for a single purpose is ineffective unless you are more than positive it will be a direct counter to what you believe your opponent will have.

If you studied (or memorized) popular deck archetypes, you can automatically assume what type of deck one will play given their card total and MARK at the beginning of a match. For example; a 30-card deck with :entropy would most likely be a speedbow, whereas a 50+ card deck with either :light or :earth can be a major SS/Miracle stall. Even though you have all the time in the world to think ahead, in pvp duels and matches with limited time-formats, being able to think quickly before it gets to your turn helps you to plot easier, and also makes the guessing process a lot more fluid.

Wardens are full of tricks - If you use a Warden's ability right after you play Basilisk Blood, it extends the turn delay to 7. If you give them attack, they can damage creatures that aren't airborne.
Using Parallel Universe on a Mutant causes the resulting mutant to get even stronger and a new ability.
When hit with Neurotoxin, play your cards carefully. An extra pillar that you hold back could save you the HP to outdamage your opponent.

Flooding is one of the most powerful cards in the game.

I almost feel as if a person needs to experience Pvp more than just read tips. I would say the greatest tip is to either participate or spectate a tournament or some other Pvp match.

1. OTKs are awesome.
2. When you lobo a creature, and that creature gets a new active skill (Mitosis, BE, etc.) just after that, it won't be able to use it.
3. OTKs are awesome.

Bad tip.
Quote from: Sevs
Flooding is one of the most powerful cards in the game.
wtf you smoking?

If flooding was considered one of the most powerful, people would actually use it.  I have not seen a flooding used since I last played an AI 4 (formerly 5).

Tip
#1
Don't do pvp1 or pvp2 for money or score, it is a waste of time.  Only do it when you're bored and would like to test against real people, hopefully getting someone that won't quit too.
