Would you play Elements more if the cost of upgrades were lower? https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=12295.msg153520#msg153520

Lot of people grind just to get upgrades, but a lot of people play because they enjoy the deck building and exploring new cards.  I sometimes wonder if people would play more if they had access to more cards.  Grinding to up pillars is a bit time consuming and there are a lot of elements cards to be upgraded anyway with new cards being added.  Players seem to like new options and upgrading cards gives them new options.  High upgrade costs seem to reduce options.   I wonder if people would play more if upgrades cost less, so I'm putting it to a poll to find out.

That's what the trainer is for.

As for your original question, HELL YES.

no actually i wouldnt because having all upped deck makes you feel good about yourself that you wasted your time going though all those hours finding a decent deck and grinding.

if everyone had upped decks there would be no point

As much as the seemingly endless grinding is annoying, I think upgrading cards should be highly difficult.

Once you get a solid FG grinder money is really not an issue anymore. Its a long way till there but definatly worth it.

I started playing like 3 weeks ago and now i´m working on my 4th 100% upped deck.
The game would get boring way to fast if the price would be lower. What else is left after you got every card upped ? Grinding Highscore - not really fun in the long run.

Just use the trainer and you will see what i mean - takes like 20 minutes tops and you are bored because there is nothing "to do".

yes, I would have had a totally upped FG deck if the upgrade cost was only 1000 electrum

I would play less since I'd get all the upgraded cards earlier and thus get tired of having all the cards earlier.

I said yes because it takes me so long just to get 1 card upgraded.  I think the price should be 1200 or 1250 because its lower, but not too low.

In all honesty the price seems to be reasonable for the effect it produces.  To me it wouldn't be as great of an accomplishment if upgrading a card was considered a simpler task.  It may be true that upgrades take time and energy to achieve, but the sense of triumph once this has been done far outweighs the cost put in to this achievement.  Also, as has been previously stated, the cost gives you a goal to pursue.  Many people would become bored with Elements if there were no cards left to upgrade, so why not make the game last longer for them?

I like PvP, so I think the prices are a bit high.  You can not PvP in the Trainer, so I can not test PvP decks until I spend all that time and coins first.  Ungraded Tournaments are months away for me.

I think a nice price for upgrades would be:

1,000 for Pillars/Pendulums
1,250 for cards you can buy in the Bazaar
1,500 for rare cards

^ This. I personally know how long it takes to upgrade everything, and if you play some every day, you should be able to upgrade a deck in a week or two, even in the early stages of grinding. Once you have a deck that can take on the false gods, you will start to gain electrum much faster. I don't really see much of a problem with the price of upgraded cards, as the electrum you gain from selling them is directly proportional to the cost of the card. If the price to upgrade a card decreases, so does the selling price of all upgraded cards.
