Would sound become an element potentially

Sound, now I know what your thinking. Thats a terribly stupid idea... but just think about the unique abilities and synergies.

Sound is a sound obviously so monsters could ?/0 much like sparks and just like sparks they can be buffed. Sound could hold the monsters with the highest attack power maybe even a 20/0 dragon. Just throw a blessing or whatever and its permanent kinda.

Also its special ability could be to destroy a card in your opponents however you wont be able to see what your destroying (unless you use a precognition) in a spell type card.

It could even have a shield that could -1/0 from attacking monsters due to sound waves.

Its weapon could be 10 damage with no special or possibly damage the shield used to defend against it.

Its weakness would obviously be against healing, Any thoughts on it??

Sounds like an interesting idea. very original. But it just doesnt seem like it would actually work. But things on paper arent the same as actually using them.

I'd say Light, since it is also a wave.  Air is just a medium sound travels through.

It makes sense scientifically, but that's about it. Aesthetically, would fit the best. I would go for because Aether needs more cards and I love aether, but it just doesn't make an sense

I actually like this idea, although I kinda agree with the other guys. (otherwise Nova would gradually become out of balance....) I think Icebraker's Aether idea is actually sound! (no pun intended) Aether deals with immaterial, which sound fits sort of into. Plus the ?/0 would fit right in.

All the elements would have to have a polar opposite. Would the opposite be silence, that seems even more off kilter. Plus this would bring in the whole debate on whether sound actually exists, or if it is just created by our ears.

How about if sound was neutral? Cost any element? but more quantum cost to where it would not be over powered

Oh yes. If by some amazing chance sound became an element, its opposite, silence, would be defense based, totally. Cards such as "Silence" to decrease creature attacks, "Falling Tree Paradox" which is similar to Maxwell Demon's special effect, and an immortal creature "Vacuum" that has 0/35 or something (cannot have attack) that absorbs damage like an Armagio.
