So instead of, or in addition to, the "slots" way to win cards, it might also be nice to have a "wheel of fortune" that ensures you win a card from your opponent's deck, but includes all the land -- instead of a pretty random chance at a random card, it would guarantee a card, but of variable quality. This might be nice for beginning players to ensure that they get something for their effort. And then the "slots" option could just be for "rare" cards.

Sounds cool.  The size of the wheel "slices" could be adjusted to reflect the card's value, and there should also be slots where you don't win a card.  Since players can sell their cards we have to be careful to not provide too much income too fast, or else the point of the game is lost.

What about a "pick one" option? Choose between spinning the wheel for a guaranteed common (most likely pillars) or rolling the slots for a 5% chance at a rare (or anything except pillars)?

Great idea but...(i hate that word) that would make it way to easy for people to distribute rares through all pilliar decks, which is why pilliars were added to spins in the first place; to prevent that. I agree with the general idea of this though, just don't know how it would work.

After thinking about this idea for a bit, I think it might be implemented at Levels 1 & 2 -- you would always get a card from the wheel of fortune, but it will most likely be a common, uncommon or land card. Which is great for people who are just starting -- either something to add to the deck or to sell for not-too-much -- but at the higher levels it might net a rare card too often...

Thats a good solution, and I'm sure if this was implemented into the game, any other problems with it could be worked out (we don't have to have our suggestions perfect)
