Just a silly idea...

And...if we had a battlefield and what if it was element-related, giving (maybe) "bonuses and penalties"? A random battlefield each game that can affect the game...

Something like this:

 :entropy : Maze (It's possible to play 3 novas in a row and 2 supernovas in a row without generating a singularity. Black Holes absorb only 2 quanta per element)

 :death : Swamp. (Players without Death mark are poisoned by 1 every 2 turns. Life creatures cost is increased by 1)

 :gravity : Asteroid (Creatures with momentum gains +1/+0. Discord shuffles less quanta)

 :earth : Land (Earthquake/Quicksand destroy up to 4 pillars/pends. Wings lasts 3 turns)

 :life: Jungle (Players are healed every turn by 1. By 3 if they have Life mark, by 0 if they have Death mark)

 :fire : Volcano (Immolation/Cremation generate 7 and 9 :fire + 1 quantum for each non fire element. Water spells cost is increased by 1)

 :water : Ocean (Flooding/Inundation affect all field except the first creature slot. Fire spells cost is increased by 1)

 :light : Heavens (Sanctuaries heal 5 HP per turn. Darkness spells cost is increased by 1)

 :air : Cloud (Airborne creatures gain 1 HP. Earth spells cost is increased by 1)

 :time: Desert (Time creatures cost is reduced by 1 to a minimum of 1. Dimensional shield/Phase shield cost is increased by 1)

 :darkness: Underworld (Cloak lasts 5 turns. Sanctuaries heal 3 HP per turn)

 :aether : Phase Dimension (Immaterial creatures cost is reduced by 1. Time non-pillar/non-pends permanents cost is increased by 1)

Too much hate, imo.  I think these would be better grounds for indirect hate of the opposing element.  For example, instead of costing Life an additional quanta for each creature, every time a creature is played or generated, the owner gains 1 poison counter.  This example also could synergize with Aflatoxin.

This fits especially well with the fact that 1.4 has terrain. As mentioned though, I don't think Elemental hate is anything but frustrating. I'm all for bonuses though, so I wouldn't mind seeing them getting a boost.

You also have to watch out with what you're punishing. Dishole is a very popular deck for Gravity fans, yet it would be a lot weaker on an Asteroid.

Lastly, the balance. Land is nuts and Jungle is very underwhelming. For flavor purposes, it sounds to me like a Jungle would enhance Adrenaline more.
Loving the Volcano and Phase Dimension. Most fun ones for sure (yay old Immo +buff and rushing with Phasies).

I had an idea I wanted to share with the forum. Locations would mainly effect creatures but it some would also have special abilities. For example:
 
Creature effects: random damage, elemental-specific buffs, -1 attack to all creatures.

Special effects: 2X draw rate, spell damage +1, random effects on both players.

Now, to chose what location is used, every elemental could have a location chosen. Some locations could be freely used, but other more dramatic and extreem ones could be rares. In a battle, you would chose either to have a random location chosen or have one player be the "attacker" and one the "defender". The reason for this would mainly be to balance the sides, because the defender would have the location they had chosen previosly used. the attacker could have some other buff (maybe someone could suggest one?).

Here are some example locations I thought up:
(effects go for both players)

Volcano: every turn a random creature takes 3 damage. Fire creatures gain 1 attack

Unstable Foothills: every turn there is a small chance of inflicting Pandemonium

Chroman Ruins: Every turn 3 quanta is turned to random quanta type

P.S. I know most of these are exploitable, but thats the point of the attackers buff.
