Shard of Readiness vs Photosynthesis

So I got curious and tried this out today. The idea was that since Photosynthesis can normally be used multiple times per turn until you run out of Light quanta, if a Shard of Readiness was used then theoretically you could gain infinite Life mana. However, upon trying this against an AI, the shard of readiness took away Photosynthesis' ability to be used multiple times per turn. Is this a bug or is this intentional?

This is intentional as it would be easily abused.

EDIT:  When Shard of Readiness was Other, and the upgrade was the only functional version, it would have allowed for Fractal Jade Dragons to be brutal.

Yeah, pretty sure we've all tried this idea at one point :p  It limits use to once per turn, but that use is free with shard of readiness.
