Upgraded Marks

Note that no where in the title did it say "Mark Cards".

The mark I refer to is the one that can be changed for as of recently, 0 electrum, otherwise known as metamorphosis.

The upgrade I refer to is an upgrade to a mark which upon starting the match would provide you with 1 of its respective quanta and would cost a standard 1500 electrum to upgrade, thus losing your old mark.

After having upgraded your mark and realizing you want to change your mark, you can however the upgrade does not remain on your new mark, and your are brought down to a regular mark, say going from a ** to just a .

This would:

• Allow hardcore 1 deck-users to get more benefit from sticking to that mark.
• Allow people with upgraded mark cards to stack them onto their mark.

I object to number 2.

I wouldn't pay 1500 to upgrade my mark for a deck just for that reason, since I switch marks daily. If I wanted to pay 1500 to just allow my mark card to stack upgraded, well, that'd be really stupid.

And I also object to number 1 in that we want to encourage a variety of decks and such, not give a benefit of sticking to a single one.

If you don't want to pay it Puppy don't but it WILL give an edge in PVP.

I said I wouldn't use it for the reasons you gave. Never said I wouldn't use it . I just don't like the idea of giving you a benefit if you only use a single deck or mark.

Why not just allow it produce 2 quanta of the mark's element?  Maybe go from Mark of *Insert Element Here* to Insignia/Emblem of *Insert Element Here*.  Or would that really overpower the Mark's abilities?  Mayne make the cost 3*1500, because it is such a strong strength boost to your deck.

No that's stupid. If that were the case it's way too cheap at 1500 electrum--would charge like 40k electrum for that privilege.

I kinda agree with this idea, although yeah it's a bit dubious as to whether upped markcards ought to stack. Your first point is fair enough though--I disagree with Puppy's point about encouraging variety because sometimes people just need to grind FGs before they get down to experimenting, and if they're serious enough it will in fact pay off as an investment.

If this advantage was only for against AI, I wouldn't mind it nearly as much.

If you could actually afford to use it for random PvP, then chances are you don't gain much from playing random PvP in the first place? And if a PvP tourney allowed it, you'd become somewhat predictable unless you were very confident of achieving 1st place and could change upped mark almost every game.

The problem comes that with Earth mark, you can do tons of different things. Splash for quicksand in numerous decks, immolation rush, aether with PA...

And I was thinking more of Championship League.

It would encourage only using a single mark for pvp so you don't HAVE to repay that 1500 to upgrade your mark once you switch. Which isn't a good thing imo.

You should have to upgrade each mark separately but not the same one twice, even after changing.
