It looks better. False Gods are supposed to be fully upgraded, but the mutants made by Chaos Lord are unupgraded.

Seriously, even Fallen DRUIDS give UNupgraded mutants. This should NOT be the case. It should be so that an Improved Mutation will always give an upgraded mutant, or only upgraded creatures can be turned into upgraded mutants.

This isn't really all that important, but to me, it just doesn't feel right.

Whats the difference? It will still give the same abilities and stuff.

The cards aren't as light, thus uglier. Upgraded borders look better.

The main difference is that if a creature is reverse timed, then when re-summoned they will be the un-upgraded version of the card.  If I have an eternity out and get a mutant that is a 0/1 burrow creature, but the normal function of the card is as a growth creature, I will probably reverse it and re-summon it as a normal card, if I have the option at the time.
