new feature: review of a (false god) game https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=20400.msg258933#msg258933

Hey guys,

first of all: i love this game more than any other in the whole wide web!!

thank u for making this possible especially for not taking money for any new cards

or playing this game at all!! (donated a little bit in spite of it, just to make sure this

website stays alive.. ;-) )

This is my first post, but maybe it will stay one of the most important to me...!

I just managed to beat "Octane" with a "slow" rainbowdeck. And it was like hittin a wall

when i finally realised that i could survive him after so many tries...!

Since I didnt count with an actual victory...I just could make a picture from it:

Soo is there any possibility to make a button for "reviewing" a game after u played and won or lost it, to show it some friends? or just to analyse his own mistakes??

I know this feature from "LordsWM"- browsergame, so i know its possible...

But if it is just to expensive, because of the additional virtual space the server would have to provide..i understand it and could live with it.

If thereĀ“s no problem at all to implement a new feature like that, I would appreciate it very much!

thank u guys for readin and have a nice day,
midknight

So from what I understand is that you want a turn-by-turn analysis? like:
Won/Lost Coin Toss
Turn 1: Quantum Tower, Quantum Tower, Quantum Tower, Supernova, Supernova
Turn 2: Electrum Hourglass, Pulverizer
Turn 3: Pulverizer-> Eternity, Hourglass->Precognition, Permafrost Shield
Turn 4: Antimatter->Pharaoh, etc, etc, etc.

A simpler code would be needed compared to the one I presented, although the coding would be kinda complicated to record every move you make, including the active skills used. This could be useful for beginners in PVP or AI3 bt people who usually play against FGs can spot out mistakes they make or the FG makes anyways.
lava golems are the best creatures in the game cause I said so

hey lava golem,

I meant something like that:

http://www.lordswm.com/warlog.php?warid=27395615

if u loaded the link completely, there is an opportunity to "view the entire game"
again...so someone could make a video out of it and share it with friends..f.e.

best regards,
midknight

It'd be better than the current Spectator Mode (except for watching tournaments in real-time), but then again it'd mean a lot of work for Zanzarino. I think the game code wasn't written with a feature like this in mind. Anyway at a minimum you'd need a way to produce a text log description of the game, a piece of code to interpret it, and in the case of the link posted above also tons of server space to host such logs.

A better spectator mode has been suggested before, as has a text log for played games. Though a part of the later initiative was by people wanting to know why exactly they lost a certain game - which they can already see now that the game over screen doesn't clear the field.

But even though there's no such feature in the game at this time you can always record a video of a match and upload it on Youtube or somewhere else: http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,3591.msg36990#msg36990
