but theres alot of people that play elements its a huge consumer base right?
Not when you look at it as a percentage of the console gaming market. Consider the fact that most people who play elements find it on kong or another site, play for about a month then find a new game. Then, there is a smaller portion of more serious gamers who steadily play elements. Those people are usually kong or forum members. Then you have active members of the forum community who participate in events, card creation, discussions, etc. That's the inner-most circle. ETG for console gaming would only be viable for the latter two groups, both of which represent a very, VERY small slice of the world consumer market. I mean, just look at the number of members of this OFFICIAL forum community compared with the amount of TCG gamers out there. Imo, ETG would need to go to steam first, before any other platform is even remotely viable.
Also consider the marketing strategies for the three most popular card games that have been brought to video game consoles: Magic the Gathering, Pokemon, and Yu-Gi-Oh. Two of the three have targeted consumers through television shows, and the third used book series, as well as traditionalist-aimed marketing (MTG is the longest running successful TCG in North America). ETG has no other platform from which to launch subliminal marketing campaigns to consumers (i.e. print, tv, movies, etc.)
