The reason? They aren't active skills, therefore they are passive. Also, Devourers/Pests absorb quanta passively, so these creatures should be able to generate quanta passively.
-
I think thats even not possible. There are ways to gain the ability "light". You can not have two passive abilities at the same moment, thus all "airborne" creature couldnt gain "light". I just say RoL without "light" Archangels and LightDragons not able to gain the ability. It would kill the concept of :light.

I'm at a loss. Well, actually I know exactly what I would like to say. However, it is 0038 here so my judgment might be a little bit impaired - and I would really not like to get banned. But I would appreciate it if you would quit posting without having any idea what you are talking about.
Scarabs have two passive abilities.
-
I still had some things in my ears that were said like "swarm may include airborne", "We'll definitely get to the point where we need multiple passive skills".... and I didnt play Scarabs even 1 time since 1.24.
Instead of delivering a speech you could simply say that I am wrong.
-
Scarab does not have two passive abilities. Zanz himself said that Swarm is treated as Airborne; although, I foresee this becoming a problem when we have more swarm creatures.
I kinda agree with this. And one other thing: I think "vampire" should be a status with the :darkness symbol.

Have you moused over Scarab lately?
-
Nope, I haven't. And I fully admit my failure. Feel free to punch me in the face or gut.

That was discussed and was decided that it was too powerful and that the presence of Vampire should contest another skill.

*punches bs in the face*
I agree that it should be passive.
-
To me it also makes more sense if all quanta generating is passive. It will be more cohesive with pillars and such.

How does making "Vampire" a passive skill make it overpowered? I mean, how often do you lobotomize a vampire? Just curious as to how the discussion went.
The way it is right now, it might be confusing for new players. "Swarm" does not imply flying. In the future, there should be multiple passive abilities.
-
I am a bit sceptic. I just want to know following:
Do you really know that "swarm" does not imply "airborne" or do you think it, because you see 2 words "swarm" and "airborne" when you mouseover scarab. Im not sure... yes there are 2 words, but I dont know whether that are really 2 several passive abilities or rather one passive ability with both effects shown.

Well I have lobotomized a vamp...My unupped mono Aether pwned Incarnate all his vamps were of little use... ;D

You can not have two passive abilities at the same moment,
Untrue. Flying owl's eyes have Ranged and Airborne.
