This thread has provided such amusement.   What started as a simple plea has turned into arguments based in real-life experience, physics/natural law and the ever-present pragmatism.

This link is not an argument for either side, just a comment on the notion that frogs somehow can't survive the cold:
http://www.lifeslittlemysteries.com/can-frogs-survive-being-frozen-0326/

And on a side note, I too think flood should have upkeep cost increased.  3 :water /turn to wipeout 2/3 the playing field is laughable.

Meh, I don't like Flood that much either, but there are other ways to nerf it, like exponential upkeep cost.
And on a side note, I too think flood should have upkeep cost increased.  3 :water /turn to wipeout 2/3 the playing field is laughable.
How about a random upkeep cost? ranging from 2 to 6...

meh, I can't complain so far, flooding didn't get me in trouble yet.
So, tell me my friend, what can you see? What comes into your mind as you breathe?

I am very curious to inquire as to how you are able to know that they have died of drowning instead of endless other causes, did you take the time to pick them up and take them to a medical lab and do tests on them?
I raised frogs in entirely water environments(fish tanks), and they have not drown, are you implying that they can held their breath for many months and will drown right after that?
In a flood I've seen 20-30 Frogs whipped out

@Boingo, if I'm right, that article talks about how frogs CAN survive being frozen instead of can't.

In what manner? I'm pretty sure they didn't die of drowning, they could have been dead of many other reasons. I mean, technically a frog can drown, but that only happens if it is somehow pinned under the water and could not surface, in that case a whale or a dolphin would die too. Also, are you certain frogs are the only creatures you saw dead in that flood? If there were fishes, I'm sure there would have been dead fishes as well. If a fish can survive a flood, a frog can also, vice versa.

I don't know how long it takes to starve a frog, but as far as I know cold-blooded animals can survive longer without food than warm-blooded... and if it takes weeks or longer to starve a frog, then it's not a problem during a short battle.

The question is deleted, so I can't really read it. And I don't think their claim that frogs can't feed in water is true, at least for the frog that I have raised. They feed underwater just fine, they use back thrusting of their eyeballs to force down their food, not like some turtles that can't swallow underwater.

I think the new passive ability "Airborne" is very much in favor of my side of the argument, isn't it? It might make things a little bit complicated, but also whole lot more interesting.

I think with Zanz's new idea of Airborn creatures it would make more sense for frogs and airborn creatures to survive. It would nerf Flooding tremendously, but once airborne is added, why couldn't there be something like aquatic as a passive skill for tthings like frogs? Im on the fence right now.

Why not just make a new passive ability called "swimming", and swimming creatures aren't killed by flooding.  Water creatures, frogs, and cells can have the ability.
