I love the polar bear. All in all it sounds very contrived. You need two cards and ample water creatures. You could simply settle for hitting the middle creatures as the opponent... I think the submerged creatures should not be hit by firestorm. Makes no sense. You deserve some advantage from it if you need to draw two cards for it...

I want to protest against inundation being a bad card... It can murder Osiris for several turns! The scarabs just keep dying. With a bonewall its a lock. Or you wanted to drown your own skeletons too? Then is a double lock. Same goes for paradox and death FG's, or decay. And yes that's the hardest AI...

You think it's a good card because it works against a couple FG's? You don't need the card to beat them, as they're all rather easy. Decay is a bit harder, but you'll need tons of :water to stop him with Inundation, and you'll need to protect it with other perms or PA. The point is that the card is very expensive and not that effective as there are better methods available. It's especially useless in PvP.

There is no card you ''need.'' It all depends on the strategy and the opponent. It is a very strong anti swarm card. It can finish a ROL deck too. (Neptune sure gave me a hard time.) It is not that expensive either. Just let the opponent fill the screen, stall a bit. Halfway you flood the screen and confine the opponent to the centre for the rest of the match. Even if it's just for 5 or 10 turns, it does what it has to do. If it drains you too much, smash it to bits with the pulverizer. You don't always need it, after it has killed a few dozens.

If people don't like the card, they're not going to play it. I think that it is very good, especially when used on the right opponent. It can give you 100 bone wall charges, especially if you drown your own skeletons. I can understand that may not be for everybody, but I happen to think it is a very funny card.

The weakness is it doesn't work on the first 7 opponents, yes. To beat ''quality'' opponents you are better off with antimatter/aflatoxin or something. They're each others opposites. I play both strategies, and an inundation gives a much better lock on a swarmer. Is just mass CC versus isolated CC. If people always play a handful of quinted units, it will not help. But then neither will most CC cards.

I am not sure this is always the case though. I see plenty of fractaled little critters. (Pest/ROL)

No, it's definitely very expensive, and situational. That's why I hear talk of buffing it so it'll affect a number of random creature spaces. That would make it quite powerful and more expensive to use, but worth it, since very few decks need or use more than 7 creatures. The proposed buff in this thread is even more fun, though not as powerful.

Question isn't if it's fun or not. Fact is it's very unused for a good reason. Far too situational for a card space. If it was a spell, it wouldn't be blown up and quite useful against Fractal decks.

Well, on a second though, i think that this card maybe should replace inundation. As said before, having an upkeep, and being too stituational makes it mostly useless; as no one will ever take the chances of putting it in a deck if it only works "some rare" times.

Unbelievable. You are using a wrong definition of the word ''good.'' This is a game, therefore fun is good by definition. If I think it is fun, it is good. Period. It's subjective and it doesn't matter what you say.  :P

I like the last idea though. If submerge became a hybrid card, that is ''flood the screen and make your own submerged creatures untargetable,'' then we would get somewhere. I don't believe anyone would seriously use 2 cards in the deck for this effect. You'd need 4 or 6 to draw it in time of course.

hm....a card that gives a passive to circumvent flooding could be a good idea as well. But yeah, a card that would make a target creature 'invisible' with some limitations is a nice idea.

Thanks for the responses. Seems like most people like this idea, now what? I guess getting the Submerge card higher into the ranks of the card suggestions would be a good idea.

I think you should run another poll, either using submerge as a permanent synergy with Inundation, or as a spell.
After that i will gladly fix the card art to the poll results, and then we should start voting it to go to the Armory/Reliquary.
Don't you think?
