If you don't want nymphs, rare weapons, rare cards and shards added to the starter pack, then you should remove then the poll, they got 3-8-10-3 votes respectively. Just a suggestion to concentrate the votes of the people for more important and valuable options.

I also got a lot of great information from this forum and the wiki, but in my opinion (my perspective may be skewed), looking up decklists all the time can ruin a new players' experimentation phase just as much as a 'starter pack' can, if not more.

I personally enjoyed the "preparing phase"for elements. I looked up decks, strategies, elements and cards on wiki, before starting and account for myself. This might not be the same for others, but I always found it interesting to look up new and interesting ideas, even just in the form of decklists and strategies.

You could also look up Trainer to try out new decks and see how they work. This can be really interesting also and you get to learn many new concepts without having to spend money on the cards. I think new players should be told these options, this could make it easier for them to try out new ideas.

Personally, my definition of a "free game" has always been that there's no content you MUST pay in order to obtain.  To that end, I have no objection whatsoever to optional real-money grind alternatives.  So long as you can still get everything without money, it's a free game.

That said, I think the cost of the starter packs should be based on what a 'professional grinder' (think jmdt) could make in an hour (in :electrum , of course) with an upgraded deck.  Then charge about $10 USD for that much :electrum in card-value.  That'll get you a significant boost over a newb grinding that hour with an unupgraded deck, so it'll be valuable for a new player.  Of course, only unupgraded common cards should be available that way.  Or, at most, one rare weapon per 'pack'.

It'd be kind of cool to be able to buy a pack that was half-constructed with the most often-played few cards from a single element and then the rest completely random.
If something happens and you think it deserves my attention, feel free to PM me. Other than that, I'm probably here if you want to shoot the breeze.

How should we ever calculate that ? Against which opponent ? FG brings most money but the income ?- unpredictable.
AI3, AI5 can change, card wins and +5 electrum wins are random. Better decks are built.

Then charge about $10 USD for that much :electrum in card-value.
To get :electrum for $ is bad - if I see psychological. The player becomes a veteran and then - wishes that he never had spent 10$ for one hour of  :electrum.
In other games, you can either get premium features, which you canĀ“t get on other ways, or premium features , you can only get , when you spend very much time.

Ai3.

And Buyer's Remorse isn't really an issue that ought to be taken into consideration.  Once you're a veteran, you don't need starter packs anymore regardless.  The shortened timeframe required to become a veteran is the benefit that you pay for.
