I ask myself, why all people, who post here ,want some kind of packs.
I don´t see, how they are useful. In Elements we are - not like in most other TCG or CCG - able to buy INDIVIDUAL cards, why shall I buy booster packs, or starter packs, then ? I get lots of useless cards. Random cards are useless for the moment. Random cards from opponents are something different, they are rewards.

If I were a beginner and saw both ways to buy cards in one game, I would say "What ?", I buy a pack and then: "What now ?" I get a mixture of cards which don´t belong together.

If I wanted to help beginners, I would increase start money and quest money. Or increase the number of FG predictions, like zanz did (although many beginners can´t do anything with them ).

@synergy X/Y is better :
Synergies are dynamical and always subject of changes. There´s only one natural way to make pairs.

the packs are not random cards...
they include a few copies of EVERY non-rare card

You all have different ideas of packs, here .
If they have a few copies of all cards, why not buy them in the bazaar in the normal way ?

y agre whit you, y would increase a little bit the  :electrum incomming maibe whit more quest, spin pay even wann x-o-x or o-x-x is, every 50000 score give  :electrum reward.

I started playing Elements a while ago, and let me just say I love the game.

Unfortunately, I don't have the time to grind enough to play even in unupgraded tournaments, but that's all I really want to do at this point.  I love deckbuilding, and I wish I could play in the upcoming Dragon-based deck tournament, but I lack the card base or time to get it.  I own a business and have to spend my free time wisely.

What I'd like to see is a 'starter pack' that we can buy, consisting of maybe 4-5 of each unupgraded bazaar card.  I'm not asking for rares, or massive amounts of coin, but I'd gladly pay a little to save myself hours and hours of grinding so I can get to the real fun.

I don't think any game designer would refuse money for something that won't ruin anybody's game or be unfair to players who have spent time collecting rares/upgrades.  If just 100 new players per month buy a $20 starter pack, that's $2000/mo for Zanzarino for little to no extra work on his part, just compensation for a great game he's already made.
Meh to the Starter pack unless Zanz wants to.

But, spend $5 on donation if you want to and  you can get an upped rare card worth over 1K  :electrum
You can quite easily sell it and purchace most of the cards you require.

Except you can't.  That shard won't even buy two elements worth of dragons.  I rather like the idea of a starter pack for newbies, however it's done.

I don't see the purpose of starter packs costing electrum.
Why not just give the player more electrum at the start?
It would make it easier for them to buy the specific cards they want and there wouldn't have to be a completely new concept.

The packs I envision are kinda like a lottery, but safer, with a chance that you might get much more stuff then you paid for, but the majority of the time, you get about the same value, or slightly less sometimes. But anyway, how many cards are in a pack? 10? 20?

I agree for booster packs when they cost electrum.
Getting some random cards for little money is always a good start.

Newbies should get also some random cards when they start^^

Maybe a giant booster pack for 1000 electrum with 8 cards+1upped!

Not sure how I feel about this. It is a great game and the developer deserves credit/reward for such effort. However, The hundreds of hours I spent grinding (which not only got me cards, BUT also made me learn to be a better player) was well spent. I "earned" These cards AND DO compare/brag to personal friends about my accomplishment.

And truth be, I started with the same simple deck everybody does, Played found another deck idea and worked on my second deck and so on and so on.

Since even the simplest deck can be tweaked to compete with the most unique/rares deck out there, You are NOT at an disadvantage even just starting out.

If one spends even a little bit of effort one can come up with decs that beat t50 on a regular basis. And t50 often gives weapons as a spin.

If greatness could be bought, Then the greatness of this game would be lost.
