That would make for interesting PvP- if both players each get to pick any cards they want in a specific order...

The ability to pick out a few opening slots would be quiet helpful, that being said we should only get to pick 3-4 cards each game, and it should cost tons.

One thing I think would be awesome is to have a new play mode where you can decide which cards come in what order. So it wouldn't be super cheap, you could make it so it costs more electrum to play in this mode. It would remove the frustration of bad draws and add a good bit more strategy to the game.

Another possibility is to designate just your opening cards. This would help a lot too and not be quite as cheap as stacking the whole deck.

Interesting idea. I would take Earthquakes (with mark of earth) first.

And I would take nova, protect artifact and 6QT as my first cards :)

While being intuitively quite attractive, it doesn't sound that good on second thought - at least to me.

As there are cards which excel in different phases of the game, like novas, towers, cards with growth or ablaze or the already mentioned earthquakes in the early game, and most of the expensive cards, especially miracle, in mid- and endgame, this would bring up a lot of balance issues. It would mean a lot of work to even things out.
Implementing it as an alternative game mode, it would be necessary to balance all the cards in both modes simultaneously, which would lead to a real chaos.

I do like lysol's proposition, though.
I don't think it would require any balancing. It would turn the game from luck-based to mostly strategy. I wouldn't want it as the entire game, but an alternate mode would be interesting.

I think it would be interesting, but that it destroys it being a trading card game. maybe just some cards could be made that let you reorder the next couple cards, or search your deck for things.

Or you can increase your chance to draw a certain card in x amount of turns

I've seen online card games do this, most noteably would be Armor Wars (http://armorgames.com/play/3252/armor-wars). It works moderately well. It doesn't let you pick cards at the beginning of the match, but instead you have to preset them, and then you will always draw those cards in your opening hand. It's still very overpowered (just think of Cremation decks), but it's still a neat thought.
