I don't like the idea, Tiko. I like the special spin having a different machanic, and not only be special because it gives rares.

It's not an essential idea, I think.
Maybe a weakened effect, perhaps. 'Spin all' is for regular spins, whil'st the other button is for a spin where you can adjust all fields - like in the Special Spin- only once. However, this would change a lot, I mean the lower levels with less than 3 spins...
...it would be hard to balance and I can't see much gain for the game system.
Sorry, my final vote is: no.

I don´t like the idea, too. Basically you would choose between two different random distributions with two different means , mean(X) and mean(Y).
If mean(X) > mean (Y), why would you ever choose Y ?

Special spins with 1 respin per slot, don´t give many choices for you. In ~ 1,1% of all cases you can choose the rare ((6*8/(4^6)) (case 4 rares in spin, cards different, not sure about real number of cards in spin). Estimations could soon follow.
