and I don't think blackhole is an absolute solution to speed rainbow, as they can play a few supernova and all creatures on hand in the same turn.
decks pack with 6 blackhole usually don't have much defense and cc, so the speedbow still have their chances.

so I'll suggest a new card idea that similar to discord but convert different quantum into a single element.

permanent
at end of each players' turn, randomly convert some of their quantum into the element of thier mark.

At the end of the day can these "speedbows' hang with the gods like any traditional rainbow deck.  I don't think so.  Case closed.
You really have a lot to learn.

While a speedbow can beat a fg on a random blue moon, its not the same as an entropy mark rainbow designed to tackle a fg.

A speedbow is a 30 card deck designed for PvP usage while fg decks are usually 34-40 cards.

hmm where did i see such discussions about one deck type is too popular?

aa... here we go:

FFQ FUUUUUU  (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,5615.0.html)
after while some t50 realized that ai3 grinding can be good for score and money:
omg hate rush decks in top50  (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,7722.0.html)

so im pretty sure if we nerf speedbows to the ground we would have treads like:
"stupid golems - pvp ****!!111"
"i hate stall decks, fire stall is op!!"
"nerf shards!!!"
ou... hmmm wait, i think this treads can be found allready in this forum ^^

as preposter mentioned, there will be always some more popular decks/decktypes.

just a suggestion (to put finally something constructive in this discussion):
more structural pvp options:
-why not have some pvp option with restrictions (no novas e.g.), as we can see in the tournaments allready.

Yeah to take this further, the healing life rush and vampire darkness rush are starting to take over the top 50 as they realize that EM rushes are better for score if you are not worrying upped cards.

Nerf one deck and another not quite as good deck will take its place.  Nerf the lava rush and the shrieker rush becomes the fastest, nerk the shrieker rush and the speedbow becomes the fastest.  Nerf the speedbow and the life rush takes over as the fastest deck.  Nerf the life rush and the mono death would take over as the fastest.  The mono death deck is still stupid fast and would become the deck of choice at this point.

Not surprisingly, the key cards of the 3 fastest rushes have hit the chopping block for nerfage already

While nerfing the speedbow sounds like a great idea.  Other decks will sonn take it place once people discocer the best options out there.

The top 50 will always have a deck type that is favored at any given time. It changes constantly given the information that has been most recently shared. If someone tries a deck (or loses to one in the top 50) that seems to work quite well, they will try it if they have the cards. Most top 50 players have the cards. This shift from one dominant deck type to another is just a symptom of the metagame concept. There is nothing wrong with rainbows or any of the other deck types out there.

Fact is, not many mono/duo decks are swiss-army knife deck. People dont like to have auto-loss against certain decks. Solution really is to make elements more rounded with addition of new cards.
I think this is the biggest problem here.  In particular, especially against FG's or pvp, MOST decks are going to require some form of creature and/or permanent control.  Unfortunately, most elements are lacking in one or the other, life has neither(with the possible exception of thorn/spine carapace arguably being cc), and only fire and darkness are relatively strong in both categories.

This means if you want to build a mono deck, you either have to use one of these elements or find a strategy that works without it(the most common being rush decks that simply kill your opponent first before they can get any dangerous permanents or creatures in play).  Even duo decks are going to be limited in the same way as at least one of the elements will often have to be chosen primarily based on supplying the needed control cards.

Based on http://elementsthegame.wikia.com/wiki/A_Guide_to_Success_in_Elements,_by_Breach (http://elementsthegame.wikia.com/wiki/A_Guide_to_Success_in_Elements,_by_Breach) (which is admittedly slightly out of date and missing a few cards, but good as an overall idea at least) I would say there is in particular, a need for more permanent control cards in several different elements.  Life and Light both seem especially lacking in any control cards.

You missed the point. As I said, speed rainbows are not difficult to deal with. The problem is that they are much too common. In a balanced game, you should see a mostly even distribution of decks. Some would be more popular than others, being easier to build or geared toward speed, but the number of speed rainbows in PvP is ridiculous. Even if people start taking counters, driving down the frequency of speed rainbow use, eventually those counters would be used less, then speed rainbows would be prevalent again. Basically like deer and coyote populations.
This shouldn't be handled by card changes. Just go out and hunt them!

Nerk?  Sonn?  Discocer?  Was jdmt drunk when he made this post?

JennyP81 the point of this thread is that Speedbows are too dominant in pvp play, nobody is using them against FGs so comparing them to traditional FG rainbows is kinda pointless.
