Hi, how about a lock button on top of every slot box?
It wont make it that much easy the game to play, but may increase the chance to win some card, also, will help in not verbally abuse the computer from time to time when seems you will never get  a card out of that thing :)) ;D

i like the idea for regular AI matches (although i think it would be seldom used)...however it would make T50 farming so much easier that it probably won't happen

You said easier?

I think what we will have in this way will be a bit more hope and illusion to do something. ;)
Still are just 3 try and the chances to get a card very limited.

For give you an example that already can sound familiar to you:  today I've spent the entire evening playing like a mindless drone against AI 5, and I won just 3 cards in the whole bunch (loooots) of games won.
Neither to say I hate the slot :P .
I think that in this way, sometime if you get lucky,  you can have a little push and a card that you want or to resell, making the farming a bit less boring.

Anyway two to lock are too much.. well even one would do good. It will still remain difficult to win.

Well there's your problem! You're playing AI5 which gives the WORST spins, because they're a mix of upped and unupped cards.

If you play T50 there are plenty of farms. Similarly once you start playing FG you'll get a lot more cards.

There is no reason to play AI5 right now except for 'fun' (because it is fun, they're not super-hard like False Gods, not super-easy like AI3 and not the same 3 deck types like T50)

The way the slot machine currently works, this would not help you, and has a good chance of actually hurting you.

When you win a match, the slot machine chooses 5 cards from the deck you beat (it tries to avoid towers, but if it cannot get other cards, you may see a tower in the spins).  It then spins those 5 cards in each wheel.  For the SECOND spin, it chooses 5 NEW cards, and spins again.  And 5 NEW cards again for the 3rd spin.

If you were to "lock in" cards after the first spin, there is a chance that the card might not be selected again in the second or third spin.  If it is not selected, it is impossible for you to win (because nothing can match the card you locked).  You will have actually worsened your situation.

Also, I agree that AI5 is about the worst for cards.  AI5 will test your gameplay and decks, but if you want cards, try AI3 (unupped), T50 (unupped/rares), and FGs (upped).

Oh, is that what fl0ppy was suggesting? I thought he wanted to be able to click a button to stop each reel, like on the slots in Pokemon LeafGreen.

He wouldn't really be able to control what he gets, since the reels are spinning too fast. (Or at least playing the slots with better odds, as trozman suggests, is a more effective means of control.) But it gives the illusion of control, and replaces the pseudo-random numbers with true random -- namely, the time between button presses.

It would be nice if a few things were tweaked a little.

To me, it doesn't make sense that you get +5 electrum only if the first two slots match, I feel you should get the bonus for ANY two slots showing matching cards.  Maybe a +5 reward for 3 creatures or 3 spells.

One thing which may make lvl5 farming a little more rewarding would be to recognise upgraded cards as unupgraded as well.  This way if you get, for example; two Nova's and a Supernova in the spinners you would be rewarded with a Nova.
