Here is my idea:

Like shockwave, earthquake should have an effect on the frozen status of creatures.

My suggestion is this: when earthquake is used on a permanent belonging to a player, all creatures on that side of the field stop being frozen, but have a 30% chance of dying.

This could have offensive uses, as well as allowing you to sacrifice some of your quanta generation to try and unfreeze your creatures, hoping they don't die.

Secondly, rage potion should end freezing.

Errr, no. Earthquake is already good for doing what it does, sorry. :(  Rage Potion sounds like a good idea, although I think it would make more sense if the ability to defrost was given to Fire bolt.

Do you think this change would seriously buff earthquake?

It wouldn't increase your CC, because there are so few  :earth/ :water decks out there, so it is unlikely that you could combo this with congeal or a squid to insta-kill creatures.

Furthermore, whatever synergy with  :water it creates is also limited by the fact that this could limit the efficacy of your freezes, by allowing opponent creatures to break free early.

Mostly, this would allow  :earth to break free from ice, in exchange for a chance of shattering their creatures.   Seems like something an earth elemental would do.

If this is a buff, it would be a small one.   I think it adds depth, fits thematically, adds connections between  :water/ :earth (of which there are too few), and helps weaken freezing slightly (which I think it needs)

An  :earth/ :water deck is not as odd as some people think. Also this is odd: ''This is a good mechanic for the game and not OP, since no one will use it.''

No, I think permafrost, squids, some congeals and a few timed quakes will do away with the enemy field :P If not the first time, maybe the second time.

I already have a deck like this with the trident... It's a decent deck. You can also use quakes and pay them off the mark.

I think this idea will be short lived if ever implemented :P
Shards aren't overpowered, as long as you have them yourself.
