so -7 is tecnically not damaging you, but it triggers the word "damage" on the vampiric creatures...
this is sooo confusing :P

You could want better wording, but that'd mean all the text would have to get smaller, a lot smaller.  Just so it can be clear and not leave any vagueness into what it's trying to convey.

this is exactly the one thing i fear most!!!
using real life explainations to cover up for bad wording on cards or rules holes (example "the attacking creature does not get damage from my fire buckler because it's healing me, so i don't want to harm it")

the card states a different story tho :P

The bottom line is that this is an ONLINE card game. It is based off of flash, and therefor, doesnt followthe traditional rules of a tcg, for example, if this was a traditional one, then RoF would hit immaterial creatures. The bottom line is to remember that this game the developer wants you to learn how each card works, instead of just looking at it, which is probably why a lot of the wording hasnt been changed yet.

it's attacking me with negative power.

@BluePriest: i see your point, but even if this is an online game, there's no reason why the ruling should be somewhat obscure o subject to interpretations...
generally making things clearer and less prone to personal judgement IS a good thing, i don't understand why Zanzarino would divert from this idea for his game...

most games have soemthing you have to learn the hard way. I like that aspect in a game. I dont think you should be able to just pick up a game, and read the directions in the handbook, and know the ins and outs of a game. Also, Zanz expects people to use some common sense and some thinking to figure out how things work.

what is common sense?
in my TCG experience a card that says "deal 1 damage to every attacking creature" is supposed to deal 1 damage to every attacking creature no matter what is the power of this creature!
my common sense is different from yours, so we need a strong set of rules from the creator.

Did you read my earlier post? I said that most TCGs DO do that, but some things have to be learned the hard way. Games arent meant to be easy, they are meant to be fun and challenging, part of that challenge should be to learn how each card acts with others, and a plethora of other different things. You know how the cards work now dont you? it only costs you 1 battle for each thing you learn, and you obviously learned fairly easily how these cards work. so I really dont see a problem,

this discussion is endless :P
you really think is fun that a card that says : "deal 5 damage to a single target" IN FACT deals only 3 damage to blue creatures?
WHY?
it's nonsense :P
i know, next time i play i'll have an advantage over a new player that will use his card on my 5 HP blue creature, that will still remain smiling with its 2HP left after the bolt :D :D
