Gl1tch, scenario ≠ deck.

A deck implies probability, and examining the chances for you to pull off miraculous combos, and at what point in the match.

Aside, the SoR that you present is not the one that we use anymore, so your post was not  a deck, and if you posted that deck, it wouldn't be one that functions the way you wrote.

His point was/is that the old SoR was in part nerfed to the current SoR due to the abnormally large synergy it gave to multiple Dives in a turn on 1 creature.

He thinks that Sky Blitz currently drains all Air quanta in order to prevent that kind of a problem occuring with multiple Sky Blitzes.

He believes that if Dive added the full attack (buffs included) instead of the current attack (bonus from previous dive) then the old SoR and Sky Blitz could be returned/buffed.

Try this terrible version of the deck as an example of how, with the old SoR and current Dive there were problems.

I seriously hope Zanz will read this.
SoR in its original state was one of the cards that was really fun to play with, and actually made OTHER cards more viable.
I also wouldnt mind Dive creatures with higher initial attack if it goes through.

EDIT: OldTrees, "broken" Wyrm combo deck actually included supernovas for multiple buffing before SoR chain. With buffs on, multiplicative nature of Dive was a real issue.

I'll definitely try it out OldTrees, and you're not terrible at deckbuilding, I haven't seen any other attempts 8). I'd like to see how it stands up against Creature Control and how it fares in PVP 2, compared to decks such as Immorushes and the standard Rainbow.

Either this deck is not game breaking, or it is, and there are just other decks that need to be nerfed alongside...

If anyone could help me out it would be greatly appreciated.

Hyroen... What exactly do you want to test there? SoRs were nerfed due to Dive already, they dont allow for multiple dives in a turn anymore.

And yes, old SoR + Dive WAS gamebreaking. Obviously.

Malduk, SoR is still a strong card with Dive. It allows for SNovas to bring out the Wyrms, and then letting the extra quanta help pay with the SoR. Bring in the buffs, and the Aether Towers for a special surprise.

I want to see how bad of a deck this really is compared to other decks. I'm using my own customized build right now in PVP2. I'll see how much of a monster it can be.

I think you missed the whole point here. SoR used to put ability in "ready" state, meaning in ONE turn you could Dive once, SoR the creature, then Dive AGAIN, then SoR the creature, then Dive AGAIN etc etc. All in ONE turn. with Dive doubling its damage after every SoR. In ONE turn.

What SoR does now is just save you quanta in the long run. Saving quanta has absolutely nothing to do with current discussion, regardless if its strong or weak.

I was here when SoR first came out and I know what it first did. Having said that I'm not going to argue if many people who I highly respect are all for it.

It seemed to me that this thread was concerned at the overpowered nature of Dive + SoR + Buffs + TUs, and sprinkling Sky Blitz in there just for the gigs.

This is why I wanted to test decks to show that this combination, minus the Sky Blitz of course, is not as bad as people think. Granted SoRs are different nowadays.

I'm giving up the testing simply because I want to see where this goes, if it does indeed change. If this in anyway, even slightly reduces the power of Air, this will not be the end of it!

That yellow thing. Its completely different card in this situation, as you didnt use SoRs on Wyrms to have its ability at zero, you used it to gain multiple Dives per turn. THAT effect you can only recreate with Sky Blitz now. Imagine using multiple Blitzes in a single turn, for 3 random quanta. That was the old SoR, and that used to be the issue with the combo.

No one thinks Wyrms with zero ability cost are bad at all, so you dont need to convince anyone about that.

Wasn't there also this thing with rustlers, like using an SoR on a rustler let you get infinite  quanta. (sorry for the off-topic, just sprung to my mind)
