Add Friends

Is their an "add Friend" option in game? And if not why?

You can only add "buddies" on this forum.
I'm guessing it's not possible in game because:
- It's not really needed.
- You can't chat in game anyway. (except when in a PvP Match)
- Zanz doesn't have unlimited bandwith (or whatever it's called, serverspace?)

I'd like to see this at some point in the future.  At the very least, an inbox for PMs in game.  That way, the forums and chat won't be the only way to contact people.

From a web developer's point of view, adding buddies, pm's, and the like within the game would make the forums redundant. Since the forums already provide that functionality, there is no need to include it within the game. I'm not even sure what benefits you would get from it other than being able to be lazy. Typing in someone's name for PvP is not extremely difficult, and having the forums encourages more interaction than you'd get if the social aspect was limited to only within the game.
