My Idea:
When you beat a FG your reward should be partly based on the amount of unupped cards you have.
Maybe whatever % of your deck is added on to your reward.

So if I had a 50 card deck with 20 unupped cards that would be 40% unupped. If I beat the god with a mastery my reward would be (60*2(1.4) = 168) 168 electrum.
This way the new players would get a nice bonus until they could updrage their deck and balance their win:loss ratio.

Thoughts?

Note: the biggest reward you could would be 240 if you got a mastery with all unupped cards.

Edit: To prevent abuse (small decks would get the advantage) the reward might be based on (unupped cards)/60 possible, not (unupped cards)/total in deck.

Do not want.

I'd rather you get a small bonus for winning in fewer turns/with more cards in your deck. You could get a small extra reward (5-10 electrum) for never healing, or for never playing a permanent, or creature. There are all sorts of nifty little bonuses you could get just for fun ^_^

Maybe an extra spin if you mastery within a certain amount of turns?
Or a nice reward for decking out a god...

0-3 (random) extra spins for mastery, plain n' simple.
