Would that distance newbies from vets even more? I'll assume you can still win higher set cards from spins.

A reversal on the concept : what if level 80 players gained access to an 'FG mode' where they could play all non-PvP games with the powers of a False God? (It doesn't impact what they gain from Arena farming much since they're already at the top, and seems like a fun thing to mess with once you've exhausted all possibilities in the game.)

the first idea seems nice. it shouldnt affect game balance if it was exclusive to PVE, also not able to use it on arena.
the second idea doesnt seem that good, it would probably make grinding even worse and it would distance newbs from vets, like furball said...

Yes, you would be able to win higher set cards from spins. There might even be an alternate way of obtaining them, such as a Special Spin from playing 3-5 PvP1/PvP2/Unrestricted PvP (unlike the Arena Special Spin, the number of matches you need for your next spin would be 'remembered' in between logins). These cards should automatically go into the Oracle's selection as well.

If the PvP spin option was implemented it would also serve as a method to encourage people to PvP more often as an alternative to grinding.

Well EtG has a relatively small cardpool at this point, so splitting them will just hamper strategies and distance newbies further.

Rule #1 of ETG Rares : You don't need them to make a competent deck.

You gain score as you naturally play the game, so you can technically unlock the cards as you grind for other ones or just PvP with friends. It's more of an incentive to keep Newbies playing so they can collect more cards.

However I do agree that it's better for Zanz to focus on more cards to complete all 12 elements nichewise ATM before other content would be introduced.

I think the reward should be honorific and not give any advantage in the game.

That's why I proposed only honorific rewards:
- having an icon on your mark showing the league you completed - Lvl80 would be platinum
- having an icon on top of your quanta pool showing a certain number of stars depending of your level (L/20 rounded down) - Lvl80 would be 4 stars and Lvl 100 would be 5
- having your name appear in the False God (whether your can change the deck in their would be up to zanz)
- having a simple hall of fame with the names of the LvL80 player in order of achievement

Any reward giving an in-game advantage to the supposedly best players would be lame IMO ...

I am having trouble finding the motivation to grind through level 79 (so.very.long) and anything to inspire would be much appreciated.

Yeah I was like you, for my part I kept switching decks to farm plat/gold.

Use pharao deck, speedbow, poisondial, SPlat, Toast..

Lol no, resetting back to 0 isn't a good idea, but in-game avatar sounds nice.
