In my opinion there should be a pre-made IM icon button for pvp. With sayings like " Hello have fun" and several other hellos, As well as "Good play" and "Ouch" and perhaps a few others fun barbs. It should also have a gracious way of saying your leaving such as- " You have bested me, Farewell, I shall leave but the computer will stay to except my defeat".

Such buttons will improve overall atmosphere and game environment. It will leave the nice guy a way out without looking like a jerk.

Hello, have fun = Hi, hf. Good play =gg (good game).
These abbreviations are short and quite common in PvP games. Buttons for special messages need too much space and take away your attention from the essential. A similar idea to yours is to use shortcuts. RPGs and strategy games often use this, also for short chat messages.

I don't know.. I think that buttons would make it less personal and less.. human. Every time I would see that "Hello have fun", I would just think that the person didn't even bother to type a few words.

It would be funny though if we had buttons for insults as well. This way players wouldn't have to waste typing that long "lol you are a noob!" or "**** you ******* dumb ***"". Downside would be of course that half they players would quit overnight. :)

Don't forget "A starter deck? Seriously? You should go back to grinding AI0." (I've seen people in pvp1 that used something that looks like a starter deck)

Otherwise, I don't think this should be in the game. It makes you look like you don't care enough to type 2 letters, so it's the opposite of being a 'nice guy', as SG said.  It's really not that hard to type those messages.
