PvP3 - aka Speed Play https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=5966.msg60918#msg60918

Simple and Easy , same ruleset as pvp2 , no kind of card restriction , but a shorter time to play your hand 30 even 25 second max , to allow matches to be faster and adrenalinics , where you need to be focused on your play . The match cost may be higher , even 50 electrum per game . I know a shorter timer like this may penalize player whit a cheap slow connection , but no one force them to play play on this mode , there's still pvp1 and pvp2 to hang whit .

Why i come up whit this ? Mainly because seems a trend nowdays to wait the very last second of each hands , no matter if it's the first hand and they gotta no pillar to play or it's the last one whit 0 card left to draw . And it's pretty annoying , where the most of the game in pvp2 are either played by the cpu since the first turn , or you gotta play against a slowpokes that use to play like i've written a line above . And well it's not funny at all . So another mode a speed one may be sound good ( pretty good to me ofc or i won't be writting this  ;D ) , where there will be people that like to play in the same way .

Hopes down .

That actually sound like a great idea. When you get to a certain point with deck size games could take FOREVER... having a quicker system would make it feel a lot more interactive with the other person.

It's all the animations that slows down PvP and the timer is misleading.

The moment you press space bar doesn't mean your opponent can play immediately.  All the actions/animations go off first to show what you have done that turn (draw card, play card(s), use card abilities, etc.) in addition to all the other animations (damage, healing, pillar/mark), before your opponent can play, and this all happens while your opponent's timer is ticking.

So even though it shows that your opponent is taking over 20+ seconds a turn, a good 5-10 seconds are all animations that show what happened during your turn for your opponent.

I´m with this idea totally. PvP has to be MUCH faster to get the most attractive play, which is essential for this game as far as i see. If it was added as pvp3 pvp2 would be out of users, so just put this into pvp2 and fix the option button to manually deactivate animations or animate it for pvp at all.
