Probably suggested before, but definitely needed. Simply choose cards that you don't want to play against. So if I don't want to play against huge rainbows, I exclude quantum pillars. If I don't want to play against SoG's, I exclude them.

A larger loss of gold/points for losing would probably be a good idea. As well as capping the number of excluded cards to two or three.

I like the idea, but wouldn't this decrease the amount of people that want to PVP? Perhaps 5 electrum per card filtered?

1. Exclude Quantum Pillars (and maybe novas as well if you can exclude more than one card).
2. Play Discord/Black Hole.
3. Profit.

In other words, this is far too exploitable. Also, picking your own metagame is a bit sad, really. If you don't like facing decks with SoGs in, put more PC in your deck or find some other way to win against those decks. Or play PVP1.

You're forgetting that this is a two way street. People can always do exclude discord and black hole. Now your scenario doesn't work.

And it would increase the amount of PvP because you know that you won't have to face the same deck over and over.

I want to play Mono-Aether and exclude Deflagration, Steal and Pulverizer.
I play flying weapon decks and don´t like Rewind, Lobotomizer, and Thorn Carapace.
I play RoL - Hope and want to exclude Fire Shield, Rain of Fire and Pandemonium.
I play a firebolt deck and don´t like Reflective Shield and Jade Shield.
I play a fractal deck and don´t like Earthquake, Nightmare and ...


You see, you can use this system and many ways to stop the hardest counter decks.
That kills game mechanics and That´s why I don´t like the idea.

If you always get the same kind of opponent, play a counter deck.

Just realized I forgot some of my suggestion. Setting a maximum number of cards that can be in your opponent's deck.

Yea... this is a terrible idea.

This pretty much guarantees that the PVP community plummets.  I make a phase shield stall with sundials, exclude PC and momentum, and make their max deck size 30.

Now, someone everyone playing a 30 card deck without PC or momentum excludes phase shield, because it's a hard counter.

I never get to play anyone, get mad, and quit.

It is such a horrible idea I vomit at the thought. Especially considering the far more important needs of reducing Desyncs and creating a PvP ranking system.

I guess the point is that I'd like to be able to not play against decks that 80% of people use. 55+ cards rainbows, carbon-copy speed rainbows, SoG decks, etc. I like to play against original or uncommon decks. I have no trouble beating any of the decks I mentioned, it just sucks to play against the same decks all the time. It's just like when sundials stalled for two turns. I'm suggesting a solution to a problem.

Demut, you might consider going to the doctor. Sounds like you have a serious psychological issue, vomiting at ideas you don't like. While your at it, get them to teach how to provide constructive criticism.

You guys are being much to hard on this idea.
While personally, I agree that it wouldn't work too well now, in the future when there are more counter strategies to everything, more cards, and more players playing PvP, it would work since you cannont block all the counters, and there will be more people, therefore possible opponents.

This isn't a suggestion to help you win more in PvP, this is a suggestion to increase variety in PvP for the individual players who want it. It is not fail-proof, but it is a legitimate suggestion.

Please refrain from using phrases such as

They are unnecessary, unconstructive, and also give other players a negative view on you.

Rule number 2 of good writing, use vivid imagery. And I felt like being dramatic, verily verily, tis idea seems quite horrible as its implementation destroys all possibility of a pvp ranking system.

A PvP ranking system would ruin things even more. You'd never see original decks, only top tier.
