Leaving Less than 30 cards in deck UNTIL you battle https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=3324.msg28716#msg28716

This is something that sorta bugs me, especially when Im in the trainer, choosing which card to upgrade, or when I want to just redo my deck. I agree you should not be able to have less than 30 cards at a time to battle, but I think it would be good to look at different things with less than 30 cards.

Ideas to make sure that people dont get stuck by accidently selling and having less than 30 cards.
1)[less preferred, but probably simpler to do] Make it so that you cant sell cards with your cards in deck+out of deck =<30
2)[preferred, but probably harder to do] If you end up with less than 30 cards, when you start a battle, have null cards added to your deck to = 30. A null card would just be a simple card, no quantum cost, and a spell (that way it cant be used to do damage, or to get an extra heal by feral bond). It would also be immaterial that way you cant use animate weapon on it (and end up getting an extra health boost by feral bond)

Just a suggestion. Idea 1 would still work good, because as you sell your cards, you can just buy the ones you need to make up for it.

What´s your problem?
You can´t save your deck, sell cards, or battle, if your deck has < 30 cards, now.

Null cards are a bad idea.
If you were  in Top 50, should these cards be in your deck, then?.
You can use Relic cards as cards without any use.
But they are winnable.
The system, to prevent you from having less than 30 cards, works fine, as it is.
And btw, if you had 31 cards, and wanted to upgrade your deck,
why couldn´t you simply buy 30 pillars ?

I`m teffy, here - and Ringat on Kongregate

i think what he means, teffy, is that its a pain to have to have 30 cards in your deck ...

i think the option that you cant sell cards and start a battle when you have less than 30 cards in your deck is enough ...
putting cards out of a deck which already has only 30 cards, to upgrade them for example should be possible imo.

The null cards are just in case someone accidentally sells more than they are able to replace to the extent of <30 cards. No one would want to have the null cards in theyre deck because they just take up space. It would be much better to have a pillar instead. You wouldnt ever see a top 50 with a null card in theyre deck because theyre deck would be using absolutely every card in theyre deck for some reason or another. I just created the null method on the spot because I thought about the people that would accidenatly sell more cards than they can replace, and therefore would be stuck not being able to battle. Yes, the system does work fine now, its deffinitly not broken. But it could be improved, especially for the reasons I mentioned before. And buying 30 pillars is a pain IMO and a waste of money, especially if you are still working on upgrading all your deck cards. There are tedious ways around not being able to leave the manage deck screen so that you can still do alll the upgrades and selling of deck cards you want, but, like youre 30 pillar method, they are tedious, annoying, and a waste of money lots of times. It would be nice to not have to put a spaceholder in your deck that you arent planning on keeping, just so you can sell/buy/upgrade some cards, and then reassemble your deck back to normal.

btw, I like the 30 card minimum deck Idea, its a good idea, but this is about having less than 30 cards until you battle, and then having to put cards in your deck until you have 30.

i understood your nul card idea ... but getting your deck refilled when you have less cards is nonsense ... checking that you have at least 30 cards total and at least 30cards when you battle is enough

That would probably, as long as it checked to make sure that your deck cards and your not deck cards equaled at least 30.

I would just like to add that it is possible to 'get stuck' now, if you were to (for example) end up with a deck with no pillars, no cards matching your mark, and not enough money to metamorphize.

Someone could theoretically have a deck such as this and be in the daily T50.

if someone is stupid enough to manage to have no electrum couns and a deck without pillars and no card matching the mark ... he deserves to reset his account imo o0
