i know this concept has been shot down on multiple occasions, but this isnt for the immediate game. this thread is for the future (when elements isnt hassled so much for new cards), or when elements has calmed down enough for people to honestly consider 2 new elements (because you cant have an odd number of elements, notice how all of the current ones have opposites?)

machinery
the main ability in this one could be:
mass upgrades (evolution)

afterlife (spirits, ghosts, reapers, etc.)(not death, from what ive gathered, death deals with the physical world, this however is an element dealing with what happens after death.)
the main ability for this one could be:
possess (sacrifice a stong ghost [name not decided yet] to take control of an opponents monster [steal it]) or
haunt (lowers atk stat)

Possess and haunt, while involving the dead, should probably be in dark.

ya, i can see evolution to be in time. possess could work in dark, but haunt doesnt seem to fit either of the elements out there yet

I've thought of two elements a long time ago:

Void and Divine are the two new elements I proposed. Divine is the essence in which the Gods are made of; it is the congregation (Kongregation? unintentional pun LOL) of all 12 elements. Void is the element of nothingness, the antithesis of all 12 elements. Divine and Void are the opposites of each other.

1 Divine quantum = 3 random quanta
3 Random quanta = 1 Divine quantum

3 Random quanta = 1 Void quantum
Void quanta cannot be changed back to random quanta

The Divine cards consist of 12 creatures, 12 permanents, and 12 spells. There are 12 Demigods, who are the Level 7 AI. Each Demigod possesses a Divine creature, a Divine permanent, and a Divine spell; they all have Mark of Divine. The Divine cards can only be won from the Demigods. You will need them when you fight the Overgod Zanzarino.

I’m not sure about the Void cards yet, but I do know that all Void creatures and permanents will stack with themselves like pillars do. The cards get stronger with more in the stack. Right now I think the Void cards can only be won from non-elemental AI called the Outsiders, but I’m unsure of their difficulty.
To be or not to be, I can do both at once. Go learn quantum mechanics, n00b.

i thought of new elements too as i wonderes from time to time why there is no element "space" [i mean we have time ...]
and space would be the opposite of something like "nothingness" ...

but 12 elements already are alot [compared to e.g. magic]

the things you mentioned are more hybrid-like cards ...

machinery is a mixture of time and gravity [imo]
afterlife is aether+death
nothingness would actually be something like gravity+entropy ...

i dont think new elements would really have a good impact on the game ... but maybe hybrid-cards ...
