Well, something like this could be always implemented as an additional mode, so you still get to play your favorite style I guess. Though, if such rules/modes would be introduced, that probably should be done in a one-catch-all fashion, so you may toggle modes for all games (pvp, ai4, ai5, fg, ...).

Sounds like a plan, no? IMHO the "bureau" or the main screen of the game needs an overhaul anyway. Quite a mess it is. The option to upgrade cards for instance is completely missplaced, and with new quests coming, something has to be done anyway... So why not plan for a small mode-panel/gadet to set these settings? :)

mtg also has a lot more cards than elements... not a good comparison. It would be fine with Elements as well if there were a lot more filler cards, but as there isnt, there is no real practical use for this. especially in a mono deck, and especially if the amount of repeats were lowered.

Oh man I agree here. This wouldn't work out so well for staple quanta producing cards like Immolation and Supernova, but maybe that would just make it more awesome.
Variety is great, and it means more different plays and reactionary movements.

(Eg, Recluse --> Lightning, Phase Shield ---> Steal ect)

I like this idea... but I don't think it will ever be implemented.

It might be ok once the card base is increased, but it's important to remember that doing this will basically eliminate some strategies. Both novabows and immolation decks will become far weaker (I'm not sure if anyone minds this).

Additionally, until the card base is increased by quite a bit, it will place a huge value on card drawing, as decks with drawing will be the ones that get the cards they need the most.

Basically, I'd be ok with it, but only after we have a significantly bigger card pool.

Yeah, and even then, I'd keep the 30 cards limit. Limiting to 5x of every card might be a good idea, though, if we get a larger card base as QT said...
