so... i started playing this game a few days ago. i find it really fun.. but im quickly losing interest. because

A. i have to grind and grind and grind and grind for money to buy 3 cards that will help me win, so i can grind and grind and grind more to buy 2 more cards.
B. such a limited amount of cards. im use to card games where i have a big selection, a big enough one where i can make a deck that very few have, and do good, or fail miserably and go back to the drawing board.

i would say, be cool if you could trade cards, or give cards... but seeing as it seams, when you start a profile, you get every card in your element other then the 1 rare card (according to the list i found). i see a problem in that.

if you could trade cards, i would just make new accounts, trading the most expencive cards, and selling them to get the ones i really want.
if you could give cards, i would make new accounts and just give cards to my main account. so i had every card, and could build decks to destroy what ever i wanted.

and thats why there needs to be more cards. so you can have those features, and people could get on, and quickly get almost every card there is. with the addition of a crap ton of new cards, you could have that, someone ends up giving their main account all the starter deck cards... well that will help them out, but it wont make them good enough to actually PVP the high ranking people.

because of the lack of cards, i thought i was going to get my ars handed to me when i tried the top 50 duels. first match, was up against rank 36, and whipped the crap out of it. im a noob that just started not more then 5 hours before i tried that match.

with the lack of cards, there is to much "my deck is as good as yours" in the game. the decks seem to be fairly even. even with the high ranked decks. i know each deck is different, but each deck is capable of beating any other deck. in other card games i have played, sure there were some types of decks that could beat others of similar types, but then there were decks that could only be beaten by certain types, and those certain types were only beatable by other certain types.

this is a great game, its just lacking in diversity.
I think we are trying to avoid the whole "trade good for crap cards" thing.

Also this game is still young, wait and see... there are new cards that are still coming out =D

Trading cards between different players could be a good and interesting idea, and i support it!  ;)

Trading cards between your own accounts would be cheating: i could create a ton of accounts, grind all of them until i get some useful cards, and then sell all the useful cards to my main account, overpowering them. It's an exploitable system, and i hope it will never be possibile to do that.

The grinding factor is the one that is really really annoying me. When you finally got the BASIC deck you want, you HAVE to start grinding as a mad man to get a few upgraded cards. They upgrade cost is too damn high, and force the players to annoying sessions of matches against AIs, and to hope for good spins.

I hate grinding, my deck have only one upgraded card, i can upgrade another one but they are NOT cost-effective, so my gaming experience is dead. I should win SIX/SEVEN HUNDRED matches to get another upgraded card.

And i simply see no fun in restless grinding.

So, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE greatly raise the amount of coins given in case of victory, or this game will be an exclusive for grindcore gamers, while the rest will simply abandon it when they realise how hard would be for them to gain the upgraded cards.

Yeah, I think what we have going on are two parallel games:

1) Card collecting vs. the gods, which you need one deck for.

2) PVP for fun, where you can have the deck of your choice. But you need #1 to stay competitive, because everyone else is playing #1.

So, it can get boring. I think everyone is probably feeling that fatigue (there's a bunch of essentially identical threads right now, all about how tired people are of grinding).

So maybe some new quests would allay some of this fatigue?

Someone mentioned (in another thread) forms of "mastery" that would reward kinds of decks (e.g. Swarm Mastery -- winning with no creatures with power greater than 2). Instead, this might form the basis for a series of quests with specific rewards:

Swarm Quest: Win with no creatures with power greater than 2. Reward: Improved Otyugh.
Weapon Quest: Win by only using weapons for damage. Reward: Improved Weapon of your choice.
Sorcery Quest: Win by only dealing direct damage. Reward: Firelance.

Etc, etc.

That would inspire some new deck construction, and with usable rewards.

Well, those missions would be great and they will add a lot of interest to the game, but the few you mentioned are horribly hard XD.

The idea itself is great  :) :) :)

and this is where you are wrong, believe me i hate grinding ,too.  so you probably did the same thing i did: you created a really cool deck, with the mark, cards and playstile you enjoy and maybe its even quite good in pvp... . but if you really want to upgrade your cards you got to win vs the gods! because that is where the coins come from.
i can give this advice to anybody when you earned your first 1500 coins dont spend it on 1 upgrade, spend it on a godkiller deck (e.g. scaredgirls ~2000 coins) and grind them gods! the next step is, to sell those rares (~1k each!) and now you can start upgtrading however you like.

I like to play MY style.

If the only way to get upgrades without grinding is to build another deck and to play a completely other style, this game is not for me. The entire concept of "build YOUR OWN deck" will simply die.

Well, build a godkiller deck as well as your own deck - play your deck for fun, and the godkiller to get money for experimenting/more fun/upgrades.

Well, one of the reasons that grinding is so boring is that there are very, very few viable decks to grind with. A good solution is to try to bring the power level of mono- and dual- colored decks in line with that of rainbow decks, and as well as adding quests to encourage deck variety (beat a false god with mono-X colored deck, win with a 20+ power monster in play, etc.).

If people want to make a bit of money AND play the way they want, then play PvP matches. Even if PvP is bugged, and you end up playing against the computer because of sync issues, the prizes from PvP, at least for me, vary from ~50 to ~100 coins for non-mastery wins, and you still get three spins. If you use a deck like the one I posted here http://elementstheforum.smfforfree3.com/index.php/topic,311.0.html then you should be able to beat many of the rainbow decks that people play. This deck can be made unupgraded, but it may not perform as well. =/

these ideas area great!
however, the 100g pricetag for changing your default mark makes them all the harder.
