While I do have most of the rares (aside from SoDs, SoRs, and Nymphs), I can definitely see both sides of the argument. With the current incarnation of T50 it can be very easy to get a decent amount of rares in a relatively short period of time and while this doesn't necessarily appeal to me challenge-wise, I can definitely see how someone who's been playing for two weeks or so and is lukewarm on the game (enjoys it, but isn't consumed by it as many are) would get put off by how inaccessible the rares would be with the T500. I could also see an additional deterrent to newer players being the difficulty of decks that would be presented in the T500, and thus rares would still essentially be inaccessible to them even with the 'win three in a row, get a shot at a rare' dynamic built in.
Now, as for me, I personally look forward to rares becoming rare again. Aside from my mad grind to get the SoGs (FG farming can be
maddening without them), I haven't even played the T50 because of this:
As it is you can fit almost every deck under either life and fire rushes, control timebows, fractal and fire stalls, and various types of farms.
Also, keep in mind that not a one of us
knows just how the Oracle's instructions will manifest themselves. The T500 decks could be killer, or could be rather tame.
All in all, I'm looking forward to the changes.
