There should be 12 or 24 60-card Half-blood Decks (1 or 2 for each mark) that rely on the 2 quanta per turn from the 3x mark.
One half of one of these decks should be in each and every Half-Blood faced.
Then, there should be 12 mono Half-blood decks--one for each element--and one or a few rainbow Half-blood decks, where you have enough pillars, novas, cremations, etc. so that you do not need to rely on the mark to use the deck.
The other half should come from half of a t50 deck with the same mark, the other half of the same HB deck, half of the other HB deck of the same mark, or a mono half.
Each HB deck should have exactly 50% upped cards. First, the upped cards in the non-base deck will be counted. If it is the same HB deck, then cards will be upped from "needs to be upped the most" to "needs to be upped the least", as predetermined until 50% cards are upped. If the non-base is the other HB deck or a mono half, then all 30 of the cards or the non-base will be upped. If it is a t50 half-deck, then the cards in the base deck will be upgraded upon predetermined ranking.
Like FGs, HBs should be allowed to break the card limit rule.
1. But there are farms in t50!
Really, only 10% of the decks on t50 are non-biting farms at any given time. Plus, the best farm deck is 6 of two rares, 9 of two pillars. The chance that the HB will be able to use one of the two rares or will be sped-up by the pillars is pretty high.
2. Won't this just make HBs harder?
But it'll increase the rewards, too, because the HB may have 6 arsenics in a 45-card deck.
3. Who will make the decks?
Argh, you got me. If zanz doesn't have the time, we could always do a forum competition, right?
4. What about the current HBs? I hold deep, intimate feelings for each and every one of them! If you hurt them, I'll never forgive you...They are my precious nakama!
Hold on there, who said we're scrapping them? I'm sure they can all exclusively fit into a mark-based, mono, or rainbow category.
