Okay, first I'm sure this has been discussed, but I'm not in the mood to sift forum posts about it.
Let me give the comparable situations and I'll let someone explain it to me because I'm somewhat confused by the logic.
Scenario 1:
- Opponent plays Cloak.
- A turn or two goes by.
- Opponent's Cloak has 1 counter on it.
- On my turn, I "steal" the Cloak from my opponent when it has 1 counter on it.
- When it comes to my side of play, it now has its starting 3 counters on it.
- Yay me

Scenario 2:
- Opponent plays Dimensional Shield
- A turn or two goes by.
- Opponent's Dimensional Shield has 1 counter on it.
- On my turn, I "steal" the Dimension Shield from my opponent when it has 1 counter on it.
- When it comes to my side of play, it still has its 1 counter.
- End of my turn, it rolls to 0. Boo me
So, I'm sure there is a balance discussion that can spring from this, but assuming for the moment that both effects (Cloak and Dimensional Shield) are fundamentally the same, why does one reset but not the other?
