ty for the advice, i guess.  tho, i never said it was "super game breaking".  what i -did- say, was that it was imbalanced.  "keeping them ash" would be a more valid option, if it actually slowed the deploy speed of said decks, but considering it cost less to revive the card, than it does to kill it or otherwise "keep it down"...the fact remains, that;  card wasting (i.e. using a burn spell to delay a phoenix for 2 turns...that otherwise could have killed virtually any "non-dragon/golem) aside...the simple factor of reviving actually costing less than ANY non-upgraded burn spell...means while one is "keeping it down"...the owner of said piles of ash, is accumulating more quanta than the owner of said burn spells.  All i said from the drop is that the entire matter could, imo, be resolved quite easily....by increasing the quanta cost for the revive.  However, if everyone is quite content with the status quo idea, of waiting till a new "stronger" card comes out...so those who lack imagination can simply all make a deck around that card, then fine.  so be it.    I know one thing for certain, if a horned frog were turned to a pile of "amphibian goo" when destroyed...then "reanimated"...Id see more than 1 deck with life a night....even if it cost 10 quanta to do so...

Labotomizer stops many things in its tracks.  :D    of the 2 decks i enjoy playing most often, i have one creature that doesn't have a skill...and i tend to kinda need the skills i have.  does raise an interesting point tho.  I cant think of any other creature with a skill, that has over 3 power (other than burrow, which would reduce said power, or light nymph).  much of what makes maxwell's demon such a strong card, is its ability to kill a decent % of  creatures...and still be a decent shock troop.  long jump from a 3/2 for 4, to a 7/1 for 7 tho, as far as shock troop value goes...thats just my opinion ofc

If you hate phoenixes so much, use fire shield + condors ;>

I personally find pvp boring and slow. I only use the sparing option (so that I can pick who I am fighting) and of course weekly tournaments.

good grief, charlie brown...the name of this thread was "imbalance", not "hey can someone tell me cards to put in my deck so i dont lose?".  I never said i had no idea how to make an anti-phoenix deck, what i said was it not balanced.  A fact evident by the shear numbers of ppl playing with them comprising 50-100% of their creatures currently.   If i wanted to play pvp games constantly against the same creatures, then all would be perfect.  What i would enjoy, is enuff balance so that the appeal of each color was basically similar to that of any other color.  some colors, or particular deck designs will always have advantages against other colors or deck types...the idea is (i always thought), to make each color similarly advantaged to x number of colors/decks, as it is disadvantaged to an equal number.
