I agree that Mutation card is not OP. I dont want to nerf the card. Mitosis skill, when it happens, will be OP a lot of times. Or dont you agree that generating Gravity Nymphs for 1 is OP? Or generating Shriekers, Chargers or Ghost from the Past is OP? This is what I say, the skill is broken, we could remove (or adjust) it, without increase Mutation cost or something. Anyway, will Mutation be UP without Mitosis? Are we keeping it to balance the card? No, so looks like your argument is not a valid one. Because you said the card is not OP, but it wouldnt be UP as well.

Rare =  ok? If anything that is rare is ok, then lets add 1% chance of each spell fail, 1% chance of your creatures die without a reason. You can shout "argh! My 457/451 Destroyer died for no reason when I was 1 attack to my first victory vs Rainbow!". Sorry, bad luck, but if its rare it should be ok. We could even add 1% "you win" chance, or maybe 0,5% "you win" and 0,5% "you lose". C'mon, broken mitosis mutants are not that rare like you people say. And the fact its uncommon doesnt make them fair when they happen, or it does? Rare and unfair is still unfair. If its not necessary, should be avoided. Is Mitosis in Mutation necessary? Why?

Man, I go without internet access for a tiny bit and people start reverting to narrow viewpoints.

A single possible event cannot be either OP, or UP.
Rather the trigger is determined to be OP or UP.
Drawing nothing but pillars is rare but it would be ridiculous to describe it as UP.

Currently the rational argument is about whether or not the addition of Mitosis to the mutation skill pool (along with the other skills added) has increased the average value or the reliability of Mutation by any significant margin.

So
Is mutate generated Nymphs and Dragons getting Mitosis OP? NO. It is powerful and a good value when it happens.
Is mutate generated 0-1 cost creatures getting Mitosis UP? NO. It is weak and a bad roll of the dice when it happens.

So unless you have something to say about mutation as a whole (either OP, balanced or UP) please reread this post again.

If someone really wants to be credible they will calculate the average value of a mutation accounting for dead skills and variety<specialization.

PS: To make myself clear: No comment about Mitosis mutants is credible without mentioning endowing sparks.

All mitosis mutant problems aside. I think adding web, stoneskin and vampire to the mutation list is a good idea. As it is now, mutants in general are very strong and dangerous.
I find myself always holding my breath vs Chaos Lord for example, since a single mutant can change the entire course of the game.

I don't think it's overpowered, I'd just like to see slightly weaker abilities mixed in!

Since the only chance that has brought up is the chance of mitosis appearing, I want to bring something else up... theres only 12 dragons, and just as many 1 atk creatures.

Vampire != weak skill, Jappert.  :)

But in general, I agree.  As many skills as possible should be worked into Mutation, with only the really potentially game-breaking ones left out.  As of 1.27, the only potentally game-breaking Mutation skills that I can think of are .

So yes, include them all.  Tsunami mutants, Reverse Time mutants, Sniper mutants, Dead And Alive mutants, let's get them all!

Mitosis will always be a useful skill when rolled from mutation. If it spawns on a large creature or one with a useful skill, then Mitosis is amazing. If it spawns on a small creature, then you can simply make more mutation fodder. I see very few instances where Mitosis would be a "bad" skill to roll.

Photosynthesis could be game breaking. There's a potential for an infinite quanta loop if the cost is randomized.

No one has mentioned quanta-producing mutants as a possibility yet (like RoL, damselfly etc). In general I have no objections to adding skills to the mutant pool, so long as it doesn't disrupt game balance etc.

As of right now, I know of absolutely no mutant-based deck that could be reasonably described as OP. Why all the talk of nerfing mutants all the sudden? It seems like people are complaining that their opponent lucked out when using a deck strategy based on increasing one's chances of lucking out.

Its not all the talk, its just a couple people who lsot a couple games due to it, and are throwing a fit. Not to sound insensitive, but thats really whats happening. Entropy is all about luck. If the luck is against you, then entropy is not the element you should face. I do agree that more skills should be added though. That would be great.
