Good use of the slots and creature mechanics, as it shows a hero can be an efficient commander as well, or could be a terrible commader but a great warrior (negative passive but good creature ability), or a great commander but terrible warrior (weak creature, great passive).  I think we should make a series thread on this.

Would all Heroes have to have deploy/withdraw, because, if so, it prevents them from having other active abilities.
According to this ajit's interpretation yes.  However, this can be solved by making heroes creatures with special hero slots on the field like i suggested.

Hmm OK for now, I'm going to develop Hero cards that all have the deploy/withdraw ability.  I feel that as heroes or "commanders", their skill should be a passive one that often affects the group as a whole.

What OT says is true, we're not ready. But still, I want to follow this idea as it develops (if it goes on developing).

BTW, we must really take care of balance with this idea, it can get really difficult once you have unique shields/weapons/creatures and you want to add some balanced, unique heroes. We really must think it, as a whole, not only each card by itself.
