I really don't know what to say about Ghostmare in Arenas. I see bronze and silver league Ghostmares that aren't even very well built that absolutely smash every known arena farmer. I feel like hand control is going to become more and more prominent as we move on.

So I'm here to ask you guys if GotP should be banned from arena decks. DISCUSS!

I don't think it should be penalized...yeah, it's a powerful deck, but can be beaten with not many problem with Pestal (throw your steal on time tower and enjoy...); rainbow deck are able to play some gotp with not many problems...maybe there's just the need, like black hole and quicksand, to stop double draw decks to chain more than 2 nightmare (if the can atm), to give you the chance to breath and play some cards...

Don't forget to mention that Ghostmare gets crushed by any deck that can actually play those GotPs.

steal on time tower is the goal, what can you steal from a ghostmare? two steal on the tower and you're done, because the usually play nightmare via mark, so a couple of pest will shut it down quite easy...

Various denial decks are more powerful with arena benefits, shocking. Ghostmare is far from overpowered, even in plat.

It's Nightmare and Rewind that's the main problem here -- double draw allows for 24 turns of draw denial when they start chaining Rewinds and Nightmares on you. Damage from Ghosts pales in comparison to the sheer draw denial power.

If we ban GoTP, we may as well ban mono aether, immorushes, SNbows, and any other overused deck in the arena.

Sanctuary: PROTECT YOUR HAND. It's a must in arena grinders, as aether stalls, ghostmares and pestals are reduced to NOTHING.

If it bothers you than much play a :light/:time deck with sanctuaries and lots of :time quanta to play ghosts or maybe even go trio and add in some aether for quint and phase shield.

Its a denial deck...of course its irritating, that's the point.  Either adjust your deck or ignore it.

I've been beaten hard by Gotp-mightmare decks, in all leagues.
I increased this bad %win against them by adapting my playstyle. But it's still low.

Tips:

- I steal time towers to pay for gotp.
- I don't use my time quantum at all.
- I don't play creatures that I can't pay twice
- I try to have him burn his cc before playing Otyugh (upped, he kills gotp).
- wall of bones is a good def against gotp.
- I don't have them in the deck, but Quint and Sanctuary helps (even if stolen). Got them from SoSe sometimes.

It really works. But that's not enough many times. I think I increased from 20% win, to 60% by just following these rules.

There are plenty of ways to beat it, as everyone else said. Also, banning is a bit extreme and probably hard to code anyway.

The only thing that makes it OP is the double draw, I find my mono-light quite good in beating those.Usually with EM if Ai doesn't discard ghost and prevent me from playing miracle+holy light.
