non-upgradable cards https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=2883.msg24188#msg24188

i have an idea for the game, im still trying to decide if its a good or bad idea. ive thought about it for a long time and i still dont know if it is or isnt. so i thought, how do i find this out? simple: ask you.

the idea is rather simple.

cards that are non-upgradable. basically, their power is relatively in the middle of upgraded/non-upgraded. these would be good for players who cant farm the gods yet, they give them some pretty good cards at a price that isnt ridiculously high. better than non-upgraded upgradable cards, but not as good as upgraded cards. the cards would be used primarily in ai3/5 farming. mostly only appealing to users dont get godfarming worthy money.

post your opinions on whether its a good/bad idea and why

Nice idea Unit would speed up the retention rate of new players as they can then have cards that are almost as strong as upgrades.

I would proably put a wait on when you can get them, maybe raising the current upgrade to 750 score and you can but these at 500 score or something along those lines.

But all in all I like the idea because it gives unupgraded, low electrum players the oppurtunity to grind better levels and get to upgrades faster without resorting to dying in mass graves as many do now.

Thankyou

In my opinion, non-upgradable cards are cards so rare and powerful that they cannot be upgraded to become more powerful.
To be or not to be, I can do both at once. Go learn quantum mechanics, n00b.

I tend to agree with that idea as well.  By making non-upgradable cards in the mid-range between basic and elite, it seems to render the unupgraded cards pointless except for as a basis for upgrading.  That is, if every mid-range card was, in fact, a compromise between the basic and upgraded version in some regard.  If you can parse that.

Ok so I get that but I think the idea is to throw in just a couple of cards for each element that will boost them and not complete deck on their own cards.

Still a good idea to boost some players and maybe make them semi rare as well

actualy, the side idea for this idea is for cards that have effects completely individual. that way they can still be used in upgraded decks as parts of a combo (if possible)

Yeah I agree the only way for unupgraded cards that are one off and unable to be upgraded to work is by having them as a combo card that works in synergy with another upgradeable card.

Thanks
