I belive there are hundreds of players that don't know the forum exist and/or think it's useless.
Maybe, there are moments in the game when some usefull labels with links to different parts of the forum shouls appear.
For example, when a player fights for the first time an AI3, AI4 and FG, a funny label with a link to the "Unupped decks / Upped decks" (that one that appears when you press for ex. "False God Decks", or "Half Blood decks".
In my opinion, the primary way to make people enter to the forums is with the deck sections. Maybe some people may have other ideas to make players know the forums.
In my personal experience, I first played Elements in Kongregate. I liked it as every good game I play, nothing that special. I built a mono aether thinking "This element has less cards than the others, but they are all good." I built a simple mono aether to beat a FG (the last kongregate achievement). Luckly, I faced FFQ, won and forgot the game for a few months. I went back to the game when my little brother asked me the name of that card game I was playing, and of course couldn't leave it.
When I first entered to the forums was to see if there were any anti FG decks, and in that moment I learned there were upgraded cards.
In conclution, I belive there are many casual and Kongregate (a 1-2 day playing) players that can become EtG and Forum active members if the game had something to make the players want to enter to the forums (something more than that little forum label under the game screen).
I don't know if something like this was posted before. It is was, I didn't see it.
Tell me what you think about.
