A card (creature or permanent) should have to be in-play for one turn before it can be immortalized/enchanted.

I have to agree this is a good idea, and I support it if it is codable, as there seems to be no "how long a card been there" counter.

Sure there is: a creature/permanent can't use it's own skills the first turn it's put into play.

If you're opponent has board control, how are you supposed to make a comeback if you have to put your stuff out naked for 1 turn?

I completely agree with your concern, but also consider that this limitation will make it more difficult to establish total board control to begin with.

As I play a lot with Pests I find this a good thing to have. Pests become immortal on their second turn (if you have earth) and I find that works pretty good, sometimes I want them on the first turn but its not a big deal really.

I support this idea.

ill honestly say if this was implemented i would remove the quints from my deck, they have no purpose if i cant protect my oty the first turn hes out, because if i dont play him turn 1 or 2 and a quint the next, he wont survive.

An interesting solution, but ultimately will ruin Quintessence.

The reason people carry Quintessence is to protect their creature on the turn that they are played.

If I had to play my Otyugh or Druid, and then wait a turn and pray that my PvP opponent or AI False God didn't destroy it - so that I could immortalise it the next turn... Then I simply wouldn't play it.. It's too much of a risk...

100% disagree with this solution to balancing Immortality.

Yeah, I disagree with this approach.  However, I think some counter (besides shields) would be nice.  I'd suggest a card that removes immortality, probably a Light card.  Call it True Form or something.  I suppose Death would also make quite a bit of sense.

I have to disagree with the proposal. But being able to make any creature immortal/immaterial now with Quintessence is really annoying because there isn't much you can do about them. With Anubis you knew what was coming. At least immaterial creatures are not immune to shield effects anymore. I suggest spells which are not targeted like Fire Storm or Plague should affect them as well. This is mainly because 90% of the decks in the top 50 I come across are either green rush decks or rainbow decks which spam Shards of Gartitude and Otyugh/Quintessence combos.

Well, I can't speak for others but  the first few rounds of any game with my rainbow deck normally involve nothing but stalling. This almost always allows an opponent to "gain control" of the board in terms of creatures. If quint were nerfed as suggested not only would it ruin quint itself, it would also make a great many stall strategies fairly useless - No point stalling if any future move  is quickly killed off.
