I like this idea, but only with the addition of new gods (which was suggested in the original post). 6 Gods in each "realm" is too few, and I think grinding them would be too easy. Bumping it up to 8 or 9 would add to the challenge, but involve a little bit less luck than it does now, where even with a well-rounded, high-percentage deck you can run into 5+ FGs in a row that are just nigh of impossible for what you are working with.

I prefer the older idea of several random gods per week. Makes deckbuilding more fun and active. Predetermined divisions would end up with someone developing great deck against one division, and everyone would end up playing only those gods.

It would make FG easier to beat for newbies but boring to vets

because it does seem to be easier to grind FG's this way, I think that the slot machine takes away the upped cards and replace it with the unuppeds (like t50 does) but make it like 6 spins

Hmm... According to SG's realms setup:

 :light :life :water
Miracle
Divine Glory
Ferox
Elidnis
Scorpio
Neptune

 :darkness :death :fire
Incarnate
Decay
Morte
Rainbow
Hermes
Eternal Phoenix

 :earth :gravity :time
Seism
Obliterator
Graviton
Dark Matter
Destiny
Osiris

 :air :entropy :aether
Fire Queen
Octane
Chaos Lord
Dream Catcher
Gemini
Paradox

Seems pretty well-rounded to me, having two or three "hard" FGs in each realm. Although comparatively, I think the :light :life :water and :air :entropy :aether realms are slightly easier than the other two.

Or we could use another setting:
 :earth :water :life Middle World
 :light :air :gravity Overworld
 :darkness :death :fire Underworld
 :aether :entropy :time Another Dimension
To be or not to be, I can do both at once. Go learn quantum mechanics, n00b.

Thanks for all the feedback.

A lot of people seem to think that this would make False Gods too easy. However we shouldn't evaluate ideas assuming that everything else stays the same. Anything can be changed, and if something like this was implemented, a lot of things probably would have to change.

For example if we suddenly had 6 FG's instead of 24, naturally we should either:

A. Make those 6 harder to beat
B. Increase the number of FG per Realm to 9 or 12

This 24 False Gods is a relatively new thing. Earlier we had only 11, and I don't think they were too easy because of low numbers. Well, they were a bit easy for veterans but that was mainly because of broken Sundial and dumb AI but those are fixed now.

I'd definitely approve of this. Being able to select a few False Gods from a certain pool (especially in the trainer) makes it easier to test decks against certain element/strategies that some FGs tend to combine with certain elements (example: Seism and Dark Matter know how to deny quanta from you, Graviton and Obliterator have Gravity Pull/Permanent Control, etc.).

My only issue is that I don't think this option should be available from the get go. You should be able to complete some sort of 'quest' before getting the option as an elemental to actually TRAVEL to these specific dimensions to face certain FG's. I assume that elementals don't just 'head over' to some realm in order to fight Rainbow or Scorpio; I imagine Level 6 being an accidental 'run-in' with an elemental being who claims to be a God.

Just my two cents. :P

my revamp opinions-
*FGs in realms is a good idea, more structure.

*HBs are worthless, they could disappear and most people wouldnt notice for a week or two.  increase their rewards to make them a step between ai3 and FGs instead of elements appendix (or cut them out, replace their place in the game with FGs' tier

*AI7 could be an even more powerful version of FGs where you join up with 1 (or 2?) other players to fight against the ai.  allow for a random partner(s) or synch up with names?

*card upgrading is too expensive(leads to FGs rewards being too good relative to other options)- and too linear.  i'll save from derailing this thread by posting in a new thread.

My main issue is not that FGs will become too easy, but that people would effectively reduce the amount of FGs they fight against. People will simply play realm that gives them best win percentage all the time.
And it would be impossible for Zanz to rebalance gods all the time to make them, and keep them, at same difficulty level.
However, if they are randomly shuffled every week, you dont have that issue. Instead you'll have easier and harder weeks, but at least you wont render 18 gods useless.

This is what I talked about earlier. Shutting down an idea because of assuming that everything else stays the same. These problems you mention about are easy to fix.

Example:
When you fight a specific Realm, and have managed to kill all the FG's there, that realm becomes "locked". Once you lock all 4 Realms, the ultimate "Realm of Power" gets unlocked. Realm of Power has the level 7 endgame opponents with 300 HP and crazy cards. When you beat Realm of Power, everything gets unlocked again. Rinse and repeat.

Throwing all FG's in a hat and picking one randomly is an easy solution, but it's also a bit lame. Having some kind of "worlds" or "realms" would help with immersion and make Elements have much more depth.
