I, for one, believe that the name "black hole" is more litteral than that. You have a large amount of mass in a tiny area with nothing left to stop its contraction. Logic would dictate that it go on shrinking indefinitely (and accelerating inwards as its gravity becomes more concentrated) until it fills no space at all, leaving behind nothing but a bottomless pit in spacetime that would be observed as an inescapable mass, regardless of whether or not any actual substance remained.
So, to me atleast, a black ole is a perfect void.

Yes, Acceleration was just a typo.

Various updates have been added such as Dissipation Shield blocking spells (though being less effective) and Bones not bloking ranged.

I had an indepth conversation with the author of Void (Bloodshadow). The most concise definition of void that is efficiently clear is: Void is absence of all elements. As such no effect created by Void should have a massive  :gravity Gravitational :gravity Pull.

PS: Shrinking indefinitely would not entail it ever fill less than infinitesimal volume.

Does a vacuum not, in effect atleast, generate a massive pull? That's unarguably a void.

Is the last bit pedantry on my wording or of actual meaning?

I meant massive both as in large and as in "from mass".

The vacuum in space has effects.
1) Things tend to spread out.
2) Dark Energy (basically gravitational force exerted from particles that flit in and out of existence)

However you did remind me that empty space (aka no flitting particles) does have an entropic effect (the tendency for things to spread out). So empty space is not a good example of void either.

I meant it in only the one sense there but the dual meaning can cause issues.
The "flitting" particles, I read up on some time ago but I didn't feel that they were worth mentioning but if a place without even them (complete emptiness) does not constitute a void (as you seem to be suggesting is the case) then what does?

And yes, I read bloodshadows cards.

Well, part of what Bloodshadow meant by void is a lack of everything. Volume is something. Void lacks volume. The Void series card most mechanically similar to Black Hole was named Void Distillate. Other examples of Void cards took something from somewhere and put it nowhere with names like Annul.

Void Distilate is not an adaptation of Black Hole but of Luciferine.

Also, added earth.

Void Distilate is not an adaptation of Black Hole but of Luciferine.
Actually it was an original idea. I merely claimed it was the closest mechanically to a non healing Black Hole for the purposes of identifying relevant void naming themes.

I like your Earth changes and I notice you are being careful about balancing verisimilitude and simplicity. (Ex: the change to Warden)

You misspelled Amber nymph, and you changed Basilisk Blood to Petrification with out a * to denote change (nor really a reason that I can think of). The other changes to earth are pretty good.

Amber is the Gravity nymph, Earth's nymph is "Umber", an earthen colour quite common in paint sets.
Basalisk Blood will still be named Basalisk Blood when upped but has been renamed unupped to match the Umber Nymph's ability.
Only mechanical changes are denoted with asterisks.

Also, added life.

I think your wording for Thorn Carapace is less clear than the current version.

I think your change to Emerald Shield makes it a hard counter for Spell damage decks. (Previous Mirror Shield + Bolts bypassed Emerald Shield) I do not believe hard counters like that are on the whole beneficial for EtG.

We're both wrong, I have a habit of mixing up earth and gravity's nymphs. It's Auburn http://elementsthegame.wikia.com/wiki/Auburn_Nymph

Edit: Life changes: why arent phoenix and fate egg considered alive? I agree with OT the changes to thorn caripace are mostly confusing. You also dropped scorpions health by one without a *, unsure which accident occured there
