By your logic it would destroy all pillars.

Obviously, no.
My logic is your logic, for you are proposing the whole field is earthquaked, both side's burrowed creatures are killed, so both side's pillars are destroyed as well.

No it EQ's the opponents side of the field but all the monsters(burrowed) were fighting on that side and were therefore killed.

Since when were there sides and since when was there fighting between the monsters...

Your arguments are horribly poor and in no way show that this would be bad. Saying something is OP does not make it so.

Its OP doing mass CC for what? 3 :earth? Earthquake is a PC card, Not A CC. If earth needs a CC card, It will get one. Otherwise, this is unwanted.

That still isn't a good argument.

What is your good argument besides the fact that it's logical? Is elements logical? Does logical generally mean fun?

If you're underground when an earthquake hits, you're screwed.
Do worms and moles die in earthquakes?  Because that would be the more equivalent scenario.

The point is, Dema's logic is wrong. How does it affect both side's field creatures but only one sides pillars/towers? That is where I could drive buses through the loopholes in this idea. Sorry, but I just disagree with this idea.

No, think of it this way.

There are two communities near each other, the city of townsville, and the village of citytown.  An earthquake hits the city of townsville.

The buildings in the city of townsville topple, they're right on top of the earthquake, and the shockwaves cause any underground tunnels to collapse, killing most large burrowed creatures.  But if you're far enough away, and sturdy enough, you just might survive.  Hence, while the humongous beast buried underneath the village of citytown might have a hard time surviving it's approaching death by suffocation, the shrieker who's a business man in the skyscraper in the village of citytown might not even get a break from his desk job.

Mixed analogies aside, I think it'd just overcomplicate the card.  Leave as is please.

If this is purely based on the card name, how do you justify this for "Quicksand"?

Simple. The field become's quicksand, sucking in and killing all creatures who are already inside it.
