As previously said, most of these rare cards being discussed like nymphs aren't really used in the meta due to their rarity, anyways.

The cards are permanently downgraded. I learned this to my cost when I accidentally put two Micro Aboms in my PvP1 deck, and then I had to grind again to get the 2 upgrades back.

I might actually do this with my nymph, or for that matter with my SoDs (I have 5 upped, 1 unupped).

Dunno, but I've never seen cards stay permanently unupped since I started playing.

Nah, they were never permanently downgraded. mesa is just using the wrong wording here. They're only downgraded for the duration for the duel.
