I've always thought about this too even though I have a long way to go before completing a playset (I don't even have a set of one element yet).  But I rotate between farming AI3 and FG, and although I don't necessarily have extra to burn, it would be nice to have the option if I get bored and feel like having a little extra advantage against a FG.

yeah, just a little extra advantage, and one you can build around ahead of time. Like having a devourer as a pet, and keeping a few steals in your otherwise mono-aether or whatever.

If I had a complete set of upgrades in every element, I would understand... but until then, probably not
