that is because when you got more than 2 golden hourglasses its a pain to draw each card with the slow animation over and over again.
make a setting option that will make it so the draw can be like when u draw from a mindgate  that just pop into your hand

I concur.

The card draw animation is one of the longest ones (I haven't timed them, but it sure seems that way). Maybe just make it so it doesn't play when set to low quality?
