I agree with SG. Raise the skill cost to three Time quantum, and make it so that only the original Deja Vu can make copies of itself. This would limit to a single copy per turn per Deja Vu, and it would still leave many ways to counter it, such as Congealing, Lancing, Rewinding, devourering, etc.

EDIT: Also, I think this should be in the Feature Requests section, not the Card Requests section, since you're suggesting a change to an existing card, not suggesting a new card completely.

I like how you suggested that only one of the copies keep it's ability. It'd sorta be like FFQ, in that it creates creatues, except that they are copies of it, lol, and if you kill the original, then no more copies. =/

Well, of course it would be overpowered, but it's a neat idea, still. When I first saw Deja Vu, back when I started playing, I thought that the copies could continue copying, lol. I was disappointed to find that they couldn't, and of course later realized that if they could it would be too overpowered. I was just stating how this was sort of a compromise to the situation.

I like it. I however suggest that the original creates 1/1 Phantom Deja Vu. This keeps anything from copying over.
Then it wouldn't be any better than a FFQ. The point of Deja Vu is to buff it, and then split it into duplicates. I think that if this does happen, Deja Vu's cost will be raised from 1 Time to probably 5 or 6 Time, and the cost for it's ability could either be what EH suggested, or a flat rate of 3 to 4 Time quantum, or perhaps equal to it's Power, etc.

It doesn't have to be better. It's perhaps faster, and lets you play in another element. Letting me do the same thing pretty much in another element is just as awesome. I don't mind diversity.
What I was getting at was that if it only made 1/1 weakling clones, or 2/2 Elite clones, then what would be the point of playing it? Sure, it's a bit cheaper, but Boneyards and FFQs would still be so much better that there'd be no point in playing it. Also, it wouldn't make sense to have a beefed up Deja Vu split and have the clone be tiny instead of equal.
